Just wondering if anyone can help me. I booked my trip to PORS and my final payment is due on 03/12/2009. If I pay for it all by then and then a discount code comes out, will I have to pay to cancel and rebook or change my reservation to take advantage of the discount code?

Thanks for your help!

I had paid in full and found a Discount code. Disney credited back the difference to my credit card.

I did the same thing. I found a discount code on Disney's website right after I crossed the 45 day mark. They allowed me to use the discount code which changed my reservation. The amount of the savings was enough for us to purchase the DxDP and add it to our reservation. Just give them a call they are really friendly.

I was under the impression, if you were inside the 45 day mark and you were paid in full and the package price decreased, they would certainly apply the code, but if the total price of the package decreased, there would be a "fee"...If I an recall, maybe $50 or something like that?

Am I correct? Curious? Again, they will apply the code but I would guess it comes with a "fee" if you are within the 45 day mark...

Does my memory serve me correctly? Good to know for any future bookings!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

That is their policy, sort of. If you are within the 45 day mark and you make any changes that decrease the cost of your package (or room only if originally booked online), there is $100 change fee. I think that goes for changing your dates too.

However, it never hurts to ask. Disney frequently sets aside their policies. And even with $100 fee, you could still come out ahead. I ended up booking a package for our trip this month under the last code because it saved me more than my AP discount (and then I had tickets to apply to a new AP down the line). But when the new codes came out I could save $399 on the same room, same dates, with a room only code. I'd have to pay the $100 change fee, but that was still $299 saved. I decided to keep the package though because those 1 day base tickets were worth over $300 and then I had the $15 Planet Hollywood voucher and something else that I would use. Searacers we wouldn't use, so that didn't factor in. I did have to think about it though since I was pulling money from this trip for the next trip.

no its not $100 fee its $50 if the package price goes down

You're right the change fee is $50, the cancellation fee is $100.

In my case we would have to fully cancel the package and then re-book the room only, why I screwed that up.

I just did this! I saved $180 on the hotel. I am 79 days out, but they cancelled my original and credited my credit card. Re-booked me the same days, in the same hotel at the lower price!

The only reason they would have to cancel and rebook is if you had a room only and went to a package or viceversa. Otherwise they just modify your existing res and credit the money back

Correct. That is what I said we would have to do, go from a package to a room only.

Thank you all for your help! Now, I'll just cross my fingers and hope for a discount code!
