Re-booking reservation

Does anyone have any idea of how it takes for a cancelled reservation to go back into the reservation pool?

I was second guessing my reservations and started cancelling some of them and then I decided that I liked my first options better than the second. I got all of them back except one.

I can get the same restaurant and the time is off by 15 minutes but it states that we may not all be sitting at the same table. I went ahead and booked it but I was wondering if anyone has an idea of when my original reservation would show back up.

I think it goes back immediately. Last week I cancelled the wrong ressie but was able to get it right back within seconds.

The reservations usually go back into the system immediately. I cancelled a res, then out of couriosty checked and it was already there.

As far as the "more than one table" message, unless you're a large group (maybe 8 or more) you don't need to worry about it and even then they'll do their best to seat everyone together. It shows up as a "we're warning you if it happens" kind of disclaimer on many reservations - even for a party of 1. I wouldn't want to see that party split.

Well the original reservation time still isn't showing and since we are a party of 3 I hope that they have 1 4-person table available.

We're usually a party of 3 and have gotten that message many many times and we've never been separated. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

As far as your original res not showing up, someone probably took it immediately after you released it. It's been over 24 hours now and if you haven't seen it, it's long gone. If you don't like your new time keep checking online for another res. If you're worried about the "seated at more than one table" message, don't be.
