On Allegiant air, they say you can reserve your seat for a nominal fee. Otherwise, how's the seating compare to Southwest? Is it board by groups (A, B, C) and take a seat just like Southwest? Or is it somehow different? I'll be traveling solo, so I've never had a problem with Southwest's seating, just get on and grab the first aisle seat I find. I just want to make sure that allegiant's the same. Also, is it true that they don't serve any food? Do they serve beverage? That's no problem if I know. Last trip on Southwest, I enjoyed sitting on the airplane on the way home, eating my food from the French Pastery shop (except that I was going home!).

I was wondering the same thing. Anyone know how much the "nominal fee" is?

As far as seating, you need to get to the airport in plenty of time to get your seats, and yes, they board by groups like A, B & C. As far as any drink or food service, they have it, but you have to pay for it, and it's not real inexpensive. I think it's around $10 or $15 dollars to reserve your seats ahead of time (per ticket).

a year ago, we were assigned seats at check in. the letter groups for boarding were based on rows. I don't know if this has changed in the meantime or not. :confused3 in May when I booked another trip to Vegas, the fee was $10 per person for each segment. Guess I'm cheap because I didn't pay it.
