Re-Admit Tickets - Any Restrictions?

I can't find any info on re-admittance tickets since 2013. Are they valid for both parks and any ride, or do they still exclude RSR? I'm trying to add them into our plans. Thanks!

Re-Admittance tickets are not given out all that often so I would not take them into account for your plans. Right when the change from the GAC to the DAS happened, some people were given them to ease the transition to the new card but that change happened a good while ago so they are not normally given out unless there is an extraordinary situation. On our last trip we were given one but that was because we upgraded one of our tickets from a 3 to a 4 day hopper and the return time that was on the old ticket could not be transferred to the new one. It was a wonderful bit of pixie dust since the problem was one of our own creating but it was much appreciated.

I had written a letter to Disney and they arranged to have 2 per day for our trip waiting for us. It was very unexpected, so I'd like to get the best use out of them. I'm just not sure how they work (can we park hop with them, us on RSR, etc.).

That would be unexpected, they generally do not pre-arrange thing like that anymore.

As far as I know, there are no restrictions on them but as always, it is best to confirm with Disney!

They have ones that exclude RSR and ones that are for a single park. You won't know what you have until you see them.

On couple of times DW and I have received ones when we were in line and the ride went down or for some other reason. The ones we received were good for both parks BUT excluded RSR. These were given in park by a CM and not mailed from DLR.

We were there about a month ago, and seemed to be on everything as it broke down. We got a few re-admit passes over the course of about an hour. They were not good on RSR, or for World of Color. Our passes were park-specific, though, so we went on TSMM twice in a row. They are always nice if you can use them on the Matterhorn (When open).

And they are good for more than just fastpass rides. We received readmit passes for an Indy breakdown and were able to use them on Jungle Cruise.

Don't count on using them for Peter Pan if you're there on that Thursday of opening. We got some one time when Big Thunder Mtn. broke down. We were told we could use them on any ride. So we decided we'd use them on Peter Pan. Problem was they only have two entrances, the main entrance and the handicap entrance. Well the handicap entrance is often extremely backed up and could take longer than the standby. We used the pass on something else.
