A recent discussion prompted by a post I made earlier left me wondering which of these two MGM restaurants people prefer. Do families prefer one over the other? Solo diners? Adult couples without kids? Just kinda curious!

PS: Personally, I'm a big fan of 50's Prime Time. Can't beat that chicken... Cousin Vinny never has to tell me twice about cleaning my plate (even if I don't always eat my beans...)

I've eaten at Sci-Fi but not PT. 1st time with my DH and 1 friend visiting for the day and the 2nd time with another couple (DH had a meeting). We all enjoyed the theming very much and the food was good. Both times there was 3 of us. The cars sit only 2 people per seet facing forward just like in a car. So if you are with a group that you want to talk to I would not suggest the Sci-Fi. Because it was 3 of us I just sat in front and sat sideways. But if there are 4, you can't turn around as well and cannot talk with your party. The seating would be suitable for an adult couple with 2 kids up front because they just stare at the tv anyway! I think we might try PT next trip. I've heard a lot about the funny waitresses.

I prefer the Sci-Fi, but then there are just two of us and call me a stick in the mud but I don't like being bothered while eating. I like the Sci-Fi theming better, but thats another personal preference.

My in-laws like prime time better.

I like the 50's Prime Time better. I actually think the food at both is very good, but I prefer the theme at 50's a tad better.
Don't forget to get a milkshake!

My DW and I prefer 50's PTC over Sci-Fi. The food is much better and the service is hilarious. My DW loves the pot roast and I love the meatloaf. The only thing we go to Sci-Fi for is a afternoon break for dessert & a "movie."

We have done Sci Fi for lunch and PrimeTime for lunch and dinner, I definitely prefer Primetime! I love the chicken too!

We went to both PRime Time and Sci Fi for dinner last week. We felt that Sci Fi was too overpriced and too fancy for the guys for dinner. We saw someone eating a hugh hamburger and we wished for one. The food was good but still overpriced. ON the other hand we also did Prime time for dinner one night. We had a couple of beers and dessert and it cost just a couple of dollars more that Sci Fi (Sci Fi just three adult meals and a kids meal vs. Prime time Two beers, four adult meals and four desserts), FOr our dollar Prime time won out. The food at Prime time was great. You do need to be in the right frame of mind to do Prime Time.My sons had a great time so much so that the 18 year old thank us for bringing them there.
