RD using shuttle from a DTD Hotel?

Is this possible? It is our first time staying offsite. We are staying at Wyndham LBV across from DTD 5/6-5/11. They advertise free shuttle service, and with the new parking increase it is mighty attractive. However, if it will impact my ability to RD, I might be willing to bite the bullet and pay it. Can anyone give me advice? Do they run early enough? And for MK, does the DTD hotel shuttles take you to TTC or directly to MK? We will be hitting MK, EP, and DHS. thanks everyone for you help!(I would call the hotel, but trust you DIS'ers with more accurate feedback).

1) Hotel Shuttles typically have early runs for RD people.
2) They deliver you to TTC.
3) A quick call to your hotel and you can hear the shuttle schedules.

NOTE: In most cases, the runs are morning and afternoon/evening. Many do
not provide midday shuttles, so you need to check with your specific hotel.

I think you need to call the hotel and ask for specific times the shuttles pick up at the hotel and at WDW. The last time I stayed off property, the shuttle had only 1-2 pick ups for each park and the times weren't all that great - all after park opening. Then to be picked up at WDW I had to be ready to go 4-5 hours before park close. Plus the shuttle was always late. I don't remember which hotel this was at and it was about 10 years ago. When we had asked before booking the hotel we were told they had "multiple buses daily." While this was technically true, it certainly wasn't helpful.

We stayed at the Dtd hilton once and didn't like the transportation at all. If you want to make rd the best way is to take a cab even then at mk you will still only make it to the ttc

Thanks for all the info you guys! Definitely gonna drive. At least we will be in command of our day that way.

We have never had any trouble with the DTD Hotel buses. We like them so much more than the Disney Hotels. They are less packed, ours would come every 30 minutes. The only issue we had was having to go to TTC at MK (which you have to do if driving anyway)

A quick note - if you have to pay for parking, it might work out only a few extra dollars if you valet + tip at the Contemporary. You can walk to and from the MK. No need to worry about the bus or boat back to TTC

Wait! Aren't there rules about parking at CR (or any other resort) that you are not a guest of? Or does using valet service make it "legal"? Would hate to come back to a towed car:(

Valet parking at resort for $20 = Legal :goodvibes

I stayed at the Hilton and the hotel shuttle buses are really easy to use. Just note where they pick you up.

We stayed at the Royal Plaza in DTD and did RD almost every day. The shuttles also ran every 30 minutes all day long and were extremely reliable. We were extremely impressed with the DTD bus service.

Anyone can use valet service regardless of where you are staying. If you self park you must be a guest or dining there (limit is 3 hours got dining) If you have a Tables in Wonderland card you get free valet for the purpose of dining only. You get 3 hours free after this you're supposed to pay for regular valet. This isn't always enforced. You do need to produce your dining receipt when you pick up your car.
