Working on my TP for my October trip and with the opening of FEA and 3 major rides on Tier 1, I am trying to decide if we should rope drop Soarin or Test Track? I plan on FP'ing FEA. We have an ADR for GG and my original plan was to head straight to Soarin, then to TT and then back to The Seas. But we will be coming off of a late night at the MK and Im not sure we going to want to be up and moving for an 8am.
And then I am thinking too, I really dont want to be criss crossing back and forth.
So would it be better to head straight to Test Track and then over to Soarin? (if we cancel our ADR) How have the wait times been for Soarin?

Personally I would head to Soarin first. That line usually gets longer than TT.

This week we rope dropped test track and did Soarin' on standby.
The third theater has cut down the wait times for Soarin' pretty substantially. They also added an interactive queue to the standby line (a trivia game you play via your phone, with results displayed on TVs throughout the queue) which helps to pass the time.

The wait times for test track were regularly much much longer than Soarin during my two visits to Epcot this week.

I'm not sure if you were doing the garden grill ADR to actually eat there or more to get a jump on crowds to Soarin', but if it's primarily for the latter reason I personally don't think it's necessary.

I would say with Test Track rope drop (~15 minutes including ride time, depending on how close to the front you are) and Soarin standby, you should be done with both in less than an hour.

We went this past Monday. We got in line for Soarin at 9:05 and got right on in about 10 minutes. We didnt even try to ride TT, so I'm not sure how that line was.

Test Track also has a single rider line, which can cut down time if you can utilize it. I don't believe the others do (and if it were DCA in CA, you wouldn't use it anyway... the single rider for Soarin' is insanely slow.)

Soarin' lines definitely get longer. At one point when I was there last week, it reached 4 hours long! I don't think test track ever gets that long.

I have the same question! RD TT and then go to Soarin or RD Soarin and then head to TT?

When I optimize my touring plan it tells me to go to TT first and then Soarin, but then it only has a Soarin wait time of 35 minutes on a crowd level 6 day. Is 35 min wait for Soarin realistic on a crowd level 6 day in July, if I RD TT and then head there?

the lines at TT are usually shorter than soarin.. go with soarin and you'll spend less time waiting around that day.. TT also has a single rider if needed or everyone doesnt' want to ride saving even more time.

That doesn't sound right. I waited around 35 min in the fast pass line.

This is my question too. So far every time I have checked in the morning TT always has a much longer wait than Soarin. It seems to me like RD test track first then brisk walk to soarin would give you the shortest waits? (When we won't do single rider line)

Plus, it eliminates a lot of walking back and forth in FW in the morning.

It was a little bit of both. I like the advantage of being in the park before it opens and doing one breakfast per trip is always a treat. If it wasn't for MNSSHP the night before I wouldn't hesitate in keeping the ADR.

I would RD TT and standby for Soarin. We are also going in October and that's my plan. Every. SINGLE. Time. I have ever been in line for TT something has happened with the ride and my wait has increased dramatically, so I'm aiming to get it out of the way quickly. Plus, I figure the queue line is brand new for me at Soarin' this time so maybe a little wait won't matter.

TP shows TT first and then Soarin as the shorter wait times. So I think that is what I am going to try also.
