hi there everyone, yesterday my fmil called disney dining & made a reservation for 13 of us for saturday, march 18th at 7:20 for whispering canyon cafe for our rehearsal dinner. she was having problems with my em & arranging a custom menu or venue with a woodsy feel & had become impatient so she called group dining & made the reservation on her own. well the rep told her they couldnt gaurantee everyone to be seated together, so now she's freaking out & so mad at disney.

does anyone know of any private dining areas at the wilderness lodge or ft wilderness where we can arrange a private dinner or it least guaranteed tables together & a set menu? i did bring up the hoop dee do revue idea but my fmil would prefer to spend less than $50each. help/any suggestions?

We are going to have ours at Fulton Crab House. They have varying menu prices....I dunno if this would be an options for you. We are going to have one of the private venues though.

I am pretty sure that it is standard for Group Dining to tell you that your party may not be seated together (I was told the same thing when I made PS for my rehearsal dinner!) Needless to say, I haven't heard of a case where a rehearsal dinner party has been seated apart. Don't worry too much, things will work out.
As for the set menu, you may need to discuss this with the manager of the restaurant. I am sure that it can be done, but we had our rehearsal at Ohana which already has a set menu.

Good Luck!

We did our day-after brunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe for 13 people and they put us all together. My wedding coordinator arranged all of the dining for us, so maybe that's how we got it all together, I'm not sure? We had our rehearsal dinner at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. We had a small Intimate Wedding so it was only 6 of us, but we had a table that I thought was pretty private, and I know the restaurant is large enough that they should be able to set tables together to accommodate you. They have a set menu, I think about $50/person, which is what we went with (choice of salad - soup - choice of 3 different entrees with side dish - choice of dessert). Best of Luck!

My FH and I were at Artist Point for dinner about two weeks ago and there was a party of about 20 people all seated together and another party of about 10 people (looking like they were celebrating a reception dinner). It's a wonderful restaurant for a group gathering with a Northwestern feel. My FH loves the mushroom soup they serve with the 4-course dinner and I just adored the pork chop with Tillamook mac & cheese *yum!!*
