RCI Vermont

We stayed at Smugglers Notch in Oct 2004 (?). Great leaf peeping!

How were the accommodations? There is a one-bedroom available for me and I was wondering how it was.
Thanks!
Ours was also a 1BR unit with a jetted tub. The room layout, condition, appliances and supplies were fine. The resort is HUGE with lots of buildings -- car is essential. Our unit was located waaaaaaay up the hill and felt fairly "remote." I might have preferred a location nearer to the central facilities -- but not a big deal, we simply drove everywhere.

Do know that the property is 'seasonal' and that off-season visits, as our was in early Oct, will find very few services/programs/activities offered. May be best to stick with summer or winter (ski) seasons if you hope for on-property entertainment. Gladly we didn't require on-property activities and found plenty to do with short day-trips in all directions.

Does anyone know how the prime-season availability is for us DVCers? I have always wanted to go there with my family- I have heard wonderful reviews of it from friends of mine! :)

Peak season availability is poor for most places except overbuilt locations like LV and Branson and that's especially true for the nice places in the NE. Still, no harm in trying if you understand something is likely not to happen or if it does, either very late in the process. In general one needs to be looking for such items at least a year out, preferably 2 years.
