RCI trade in questions....

Hi we have a vacation booked w/DVC thru RCI trade-
I'm wondering, how do we access info on our planned trip?
And, how do we book ME,etc when staying this way? TIA!:thumbsup2
 
Call Member Services and tell them you are exchanging in via RCI and would like to talk to someone about it. The number for MS will be on the documentation you receive from RCI.

MS can arrange for Magical Express, add a Dining Plan (if you so choose) and make ADRs (Advanced Dining Reservations) for you.

Ask them for the actual DVC reservation number. With that you can verify the reservation on www.MyDisneyReservation.com/DVC

You can also then make online ADRs and link them to your reservation.

You will need to print out your confirmation email. The number for member services is "hidden" on the third page at the bottom of the Unit OCC section.

I think they use the same system as a regular DVC reservation, your room is assigned at the resort prior to arrival, but can sometimes be changed at the front desk if they have availability.

But also like DVC reservations, the booking category is firm at the time of reservation...for instance, near hospitality at OKW, or standard vs. garden view at BWV.
 
You can make a request (subject to your booking category). Just call Member Services and they will help you.

Lack of a formal pecking order gives you a much higher chance of success with requests as a non member than with most systems.
 
If you post some details of your trip - resort, type of villa, and what you are interested in (view, quiet, near pool or bus stop, etc), folks here will give you some suggestions for things to request.

It might be good to make that a seperate thread with an appropriate title to get more and better responses.
