I know it is a pretty large company...properties all over the world. Anyone have any good experiences or horror stories to share? (I went on vacation and bought into one...now I'm scared). Thanks!
My parents have owned since I was like 15yo (almost 40 now)
They have been very pleased with every condo they have ever stayed at. They have always traded as they bought inot a cheapo one in the mountains that they never really intended on staying at. However, I believe I read about it and it sounded very nice too. Nowadays they say to buy where you want to vacation because you might not get your trade. But my folks have always received a trade on the east coast which is what they prefer. I can't talk them into a really cool vacation. LOL Best thing about it is my sisters & I will inherit the week someday. We'll at least have a place to go to every 3 years!!
Thanks for the info...not only do you have the "week", but you buy into points also...I guess the real test will be when I try to book somewhere and see if it can actually be done.
Buying from a developer is virtually always too expensive, as most weeks/points can be purchased on the resale market at a fraction of the cost. Definitely go to www.tug2.net the Timeshare User's Group.
