I'm new to the RCI exchanges and hope I can get some help. we are DVC members and thinking about doing an RCI exchange. We are looking at going Dec 10th-17th
1. Do you have to deposit points before you see what is available? I would hate to deposit points and find the resorts we want we can't get.
2. What is an average of daily all inclusive fee.
3. So many place how do you chose. Maybe some of you have some ideas. 2 couples are going so we want a place that has 2 bedroom villas, looking for a nice beach, all inclusive, snorkeling include with all-inclusive and not a lot of children. Any ideas.

Thanks for your help

I don't have any experience with RCI trading, but I've heard the all inclusives are very expensive since your points don't pay for that. I could be close to what you would pay if you reserved the place for cash.

The main exchange method is search first and this is what I'd recommend to you. AI fees vary from a $500-800 per week per couple to as much as $4000 for a week per couple. As a rule, AI are not a good value compared to what most people would pay OOP. To me it also detracts from enjoying restaurants and exploring in general. Look at the exchange list to get an idea of what you'd like. You might consider Aruba or St. Marteen for this time. For AI you're mostly limited to MX and DR with a few other options here and there. Also compare to cash as you can often get an AI for about the same total as you would have paid air and AI fees using an exchange, and you'd still have your DVC points.
