I'll never forget Ray Charles hosting Saturday Night Live
Rest In Peace Ray

Thanks Ran,

nice to see an old friend here.

Did you happen to see the long version Ray did of "Hit the road jack" when he was on Austin city limits years ago ?

If you get a chance since they might rerun it on PBS as a Tribute to him, don't miss it, he was really cookin and it went on for 7 or 8 minutes.

He went back and forth with the Rayettes more than when he did it in concert.

Soul singer Aretha Franklin said she was stunned to hear of Charles' death Thursday.

"I had no idea that he was as ill as he was until quite late. Of course, a great soul has gone on," said Franklin, 63, who in 1971 shared
the stage with Charles in one of the greatest concerts ever performed at the Fillmore West in San Francisco. "He was a fabulous man,
full of humor and wit," Franklin said. "He introduced the world to secular soul singing. Undoubtedly, the music world will miss his
voice. He's the voice of a lifetime."

I always get chill bumps when I hear Georgia on my Mind. This morning, one of the radio station played it and it gave me chill bumps and made me sad. I loved to hear him sing.
