Well today is our last full day. Up early so we can make our PS at CRT for 8:10am. Earlier in the week, Cinderella had left DD a package in the room containing an invitation to breakfast and a Cindy dress to wear. She was beside herself she was so happy. We get dressed and head to the boat dock. Our friends are leaving today so we are going to meet them at MK after offical opening. We make it to MK at about 8:05, just enough time to get down Main Street to the castle. On the way, I stop and snap a photo of DD wearing her dress in front of the statue of Walt and Mickey with the castle in the background. It is priceless and there is no one else in the shot, well if you look real close, just behind the statue, there are a couple of heads but not really noticable unless you are looking for them. Anyway, on to the castle. We check in and are immediately seated. The inside of the castle is very nice. It only takes about 5 minutes before the princesses start making their rounds. We get to see Cindy, Aurora, Snow White, Belle and Mary Poppins. The pictures are great and this will be another must do on future trips, as long as I can get it. As we are exiting, Fairy Godmother is in the waiting room. Had hoped to wake up Tinkerbell, but decided to see FG since we had woke up Tink last tripand didn't see FG.

After leaving the castle, we again hit FantasyLand. Dumbo has a 5 minute wait so we hop on. Then we go around and DD and I hop back on. As we are getting off, our friends walk up. They are taking one last romp around MK before leaving. We get one last group photo and say our goodbyes. They are heading for TomorrowLand and we want to see the Country Bears since we missed them last trip. Been awhile since I had seen this show and I think it will be awhile before I see it again. After the CBJ, we head over and get FP for Splash Mountain. DW didn't get to ride this last year because she was pregnant. We had about 30 minutes to wait before our time so we shopped a little. Since we had the baby, DW went first and DD, DS and I went to the little play area under the train. When DW returned, I took off. I love this ride, it is one of my favorites. DD had thought about riding since she has been watching my DVD of Song of the South, but then decided not to. I guess seeing the drop as we passed, changed her mind. One thing I had to look for is the little creature that comes out of the ceiling just before you head up the hill for the last drop. He drops down and yells GO FSU and since I am a Nole Nut I had to find him. Yep, there he is and he definitely says GO FSU. Just one of the little secrets that most people miss. After I return, we decide to leave as it is sweltering out. We head up to catch the train. Since we have a stroller, I head up the ramp. The CM at the top wasted no time in telling us that next time we need to carry the stroller up the stairs and the ramp is for Handicapped people only, but since the line was not long he would let us in anyway. I hate to tell him, but had I had to go back down the ramp, I would have just walked out, not carry the stroller up the stairs. This was the only tense moment I had with CMs the whole trip.

Well back at the lodge, we take a nap. I guess the week is finally catching up with us and we want to be refreshed to go back to MK for our last night. Well, as luck would have it, the rains came and came.We decided to not go to MK in the rain. We had seen most everything we wanted and were just going to hang out and see the fireworks anyway. So we just went to the Arcade and shopped in the Mercantile and hung out at the Lodge. Was able to get some of the night nights I wanted and then watched the fireworks from our Balcony. Time for bed as we must leave in the morning.

Saturday August 2

We get up fairly early compliments of DS. As the rest of the family get ready, I head down and load the van up. We check out and say goodbye to the Lodge. It is always sad to leave this place, but we will be back. When we leave, we head over to ASMo to drop off the stroller for the stroller swap. And then begin our 8 1/2 hour ride home which is very uneventful. One observation though, has anyone else ever noticed how many cars on I-95 have flats?

We had a great trip. Didn't seem that we were able to do as much this year as last but I guess with another family and a 5 month old, you can't get a lot done. Until next year, have a magical time!

Ratpack - Thanks! I've really enjoyed your reports - what a wonderful trip! Do you have any tips for travelling with a 5 mos old baby? I have talked my DD into joining us on our Jan. trip when my "due-any-day-now" granddaughter will be exactly that age. My DD is a little unsure, but that is the age my DS was when we travelled to Calif for two weeks and spent two days in Disneyland. I remember it being a great age, he mostly sat in the stroller and looked around. Did 'babyswapping' go smoothly for you? I go to WDW every year or two, so I will be very happy to be the one to watch the baby (of course!) so that she can enjoy herself:smooth:

bjakmom,
It was easier than we thought having a baby there. The only drawback was the heat but he handled it well. We just carried a lot of juices with us. Didn't do baby swap as we don't ride many things that the kids can't. When we did, our friend watched them since she was pregnant and couldn't ride. I say go for it and just prepare for each day just as you would with having the baby at the mall for the day. I always fail to see why people won't take a baby on vacation, yet they take them out everyday at home. It is the same thing, just in a different location. At least that is how we look at it.
