WOW the whole of the MK and rides in 2 hours :faint:

Are you related to Billy Whizz from The Beano :scratchin

I certainly try to appreciate others' opinions even if I don't agree with them. I stated MY opinion without the need to be sarcastic, insulting or rude.

Thanks for YOUR opinions too. Even though you do not agree with anything I have said.....my views have not changed.

I'm sure we don't all love the same resorts (for example) and we don't all have to feel the same about the different parks either!:flower3:

It takes me more than two hours just to walk through Main Street.
There's so much to see and so much to buy :rotfl2:

Although I agree WDW is also lovely nothing can beat the feeling of "coming home" as we pass the turnstiles in DLRP.

I'm sorry if we were any of the above. Coming to a DLRP board however you must have realised most people here would not be in agreement with you.
There are many parts of DLRP which are completely different to MK, such as the castle, and it would take 2 hours just to explore those alone without even going on any rides. As for the rides, I appreciate that 2 big rides were closed which unfortunately is par for the course in low season at any park, but it would take more than 2 hours to do even most of the rides too. Not to mention that Studios is a whole other park. This is why your post has been greeted with such disbelief, it isn't meant as any insult to you personally.

I've been to DLP numerous times too and every single trip I find something new i've never seen before! whether it be with the aid of my own investigative skills, or with some help from this forum...;)

i think if the OP had had a few days in the parks, maybe stayed at a hotel and really took in the whole uniqueness of the resort, her and her daughter would have found it to be a much more enjoyable experience:)

i apologize if you thought i was being insulting or rude but you can understand this is posted on a board where people are either looking for info on dlrp or people are seriously addicted to visting dlrp :rotfl2: i dont doubt that you didnt enjoy the experience, but i just think that spending two hours in a place like dlrp couldnt give you enough time to give it a fair chance. if you just didnt like it and had enough well fair enough but i just dont think its a fair statement to say you did the whole park in two hours its simply not possible

again i mean no disrespect to you i firmly believe in each to their own. at least you enjoy wdw, dlrp just isnt what you were looking for

Ok, I'm just picking 5, of the many, hidden details on Main Street alone:

1) The stained glass window tribute to each land on the Main Street Train Station

2) The “Lost Parents, Inquire Here For Children” sign at City Hall

3) Inset into the pavement are little brass discs which read “Elias Disney, Contractor, 1901

4) Dapper Dan’s off Main Street, outside their door you’ll find a mirror, by standing in front of the mirror you can super impose a Harmony Moustache across your face.

5) Main Street U.S.A. has loads small businesses that are often missed. One of these is situated above Ribbons and Bows Hat Shop, the sign reads:

“Pyewacket Cruise lines

For a day you will treasure Book a cruise that’s a “Pleasure”

Capt. Roy E. Disney”

I hope you managed to see all of these fascinating details all within the first 200 meters of entering the park.

I don't think it's that anyone doesn't appreciate your opinion. We all have different opinions on various things, the restaurants, the hotels etc and we repect everyones opinions whether we agree with them or not.

I think the problem here is that no one can understand how your opinion can be what it is after only 2 hours in the park - c'mon give it a chance!! You have to admit there's no way you could've seen and done a handful of the things on offer at DLP. Everyone on here knows that it's simply not possible to get any idea of DLP in 2 hours. You can say you did it all etc and be as adamant as you like, but we all know you couldn't have.

I have taken 4 trips to DLRP. Mostly as a couple and my last trip at Christmas was with my Daughter. And everytime I have visited I still havent managed to do everything!!!!!
I too have been to WDW and everyone told me once you had been there you would never entertain DLRP. But I infact preferred alot of things about DLRP. POTC is much better than the WDW version with more drops and Space Mountain Mission 2, is fantastic compared to Space Mountain at WDW. Its so much faster and more exciting!!!
I cant believe you could have completed it all in 2 hours.
I love to soak in the atmosphere and take lots of photos. There are so many hidden things and details. That every trip I find something new.

I think the whole thing boils down to the fact yes your opinion is as good as everyone elses and if you came on here saying yes we tried it but its not for us etc, that would have been ok. I think (in a nice way) we are having a wee giggle at the whole 'done it in 2 hours' part, its not really getting at you its just that its impossible to do it all in 2 hours, doesn't matter how fast you walk. Did I read it right that you didn't try the studios, thats cool too though but there is 2 amazing rides in there that shouldn't be missed (obviously alot more rides there but 2 mega good ones)

I'm sorry if you are offended by some posts on here and I apologise if mine offended you, it wasn't meant to be that way, just abit shocked you had an opinion in 2 hours thats all!

And also coming onto a DLRP forum and saying it is kind of insulting us, most of us save all year for a holiday we love so much and to say you did it in 2 hours is just madness!

Anywhere where ever you decide to holiday in the future I hope you have a fab time and I wish you all the best!:flower3:

Sorry you didnt enjoy it, took me 2 hours just to look around mainstreet before even entering the park lol.. the characters at each ride were all dressed in brilliant character outfits when I was there last month..
It wasnt busy the weekdays I was there either but we went on as many rides as we can, plus the studios and it took 4 days, and that was without doing every single ride lol

ps I do actually think that the Studios may have had more interesting rides for you aswell.. crushes coaster, stitch live (fantastic and so funny) Rock n Roller Coaster, the Stunt show, Tower of Terror, Tram tour, Cars ride...

Thats without any shows on in the normal park aswell.. its just impossible in my opinion to have done it all in 2 hours :)
but perhaps you hadnt intended to go to the park to go on the rides?

Maybe I could have put it better but if someone comes on here and says they did DLRP in 2 hours and paid attention to details then I am going to defend DLRP because that certainly is not true.

Maybe if the OP hadn't started the attack by saying that she can't understand how we can spend more than a day there then the answers would have been less defensive.

im sorry and i have already said that i mean no offence but i cant understand someone who says they dont want sarcastic comments but were sarcastic themselves in the origanal post. i am so excited for my holiday and i have saved really hard to get there and i do find it insulting for somebody to say they did the whole thing in 2 hours and didnt enjoy it at all. and i certanly cant understand the logic of coming on a board where people are looking for info for an upcoming trip or people who have had multiple trips to this place to say that. i mean if i was planning my first trip the first thing i would think would be oh no have i wasted my money on something that can be done in two hours when in fact it is simply impossible to see or do all of dlrp in that short time

I can understand why people jumped to defend DLP i think i was just a little taken back by the amount of people who jumped in to defend it. Many of the comments people made were justified, but there were a couple that i felt were a bit uncalled for.

Put it this way, i don't think she will be back :rotfl: :rotfl:

I couldn't have put it better myself!

Spot on :thumbsup2

Perhaps the strength and volume of responses are based on a lack of appreciation and understanding of what was covered in the time and how it was done - I for one would like to hear what the writer of the thread managed to cover in the 2 hours as it would be useful feedback. From our own experience it took us more than 2 hours to do just the Fantasyland rides during EMH - that was going some.
