Alrighty my honeymoon is Nov. 7-15. Were staying at POR the whole time. Were going to all 4 disney parks, IOA, and SW. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get some discount on my POR rate. I'm paying about 183.98/night. Of course this is alright and I can pay it but if I can find anyway to help out that would be great. I've looked around and have found cheaper IOA tickets as well as SW. Let me know please. thanx alot

Do you have AAA? If so, you might be able to get a 15% AAA discount for the particular time you're going (regular season). This is subject to availability - and sometimes certain room types or resorts are not available.

Just a thought...

Available to anyone use codes should be out but not until about August-near the end I think. This should give you a better rate. Of course there is no guarantee about the codes, but if you keep watching either the boards or mousesavers you are more likely to see them in time to call in and change your rate. We always book with our TA at The Magic For Less. Deb does all the changes when codes come out for us. We don't have to hunt for them or check constantly for them. She just sends us an email when the changes are made and the rate is reduced. Was a very nice discount for us last December.

AAA is a great place to start. That is what we do. We get that discount first and then wait for codes to come out. Mousesavers always has them listed but sometimes you get the info here quicker.
Just keep checking when it gets closer to your dates.
Right now we are waiting for codes for our trip in April (23-30). We are hoping they will come out in a week or two. :cool1:

The codes will knock that price per night down, but ya gotta wait til they come out. :rolleyes1 Keep your eyeballs on this board and on mousesavers come late summer.

Last year in October we paid $110 for POFQ in the regular season...so maybe you'll get lucky too!

Call back and ask to get the reservation changed to a AAA rate. You don't have to have the AAA card at the time you make the reservation, just when you check in. For my upcoming stay at POFQ in April, I was quoted $149/nt (before taxes) for a standard room. The AAA rate on the same room was $126/nt. My savings? 7 nts x ($149 - $126) + 11.5% tax - $56 (AAA card cost) = $123.52. You and your future spouse could get a really nice dinner out for $123.52. :earsboy:
