I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of rates you've gotten flying from Little Rock to MCO.

I'm in OKC, but my in-laws live in the Little Rock area and will be joining us for our September vacation. Delta has the cheapest rate for that time right now at $268. Not a very good fare, but I got scared with all the talk about airfare being high this summer and booked it for them...

I booked our June tickets using Orbitz (booked in January) and our total is $704.07 (3 @ $234.69)== I have no idea if the price is decent, or not...

I was thrilled at the time frame-- leaving LR @ 7:15 a.m., change planes in ATL, arrive @ MCO around 12:30 p.m.-- leave MCO @ 6:45 p.m., change planes, etc in ATL-- arrive back in LR @ 10:44 p.m.... perfect itinerary, IMO.

I haven't set foot in the LR airport in YEARS! It's my dd8's and, truthfully, my dh's first ever flight (he flew in a small plane as a kid, but never on a commercial plane.) What an adventure we'll have! :woohoo:

Check Southwest...they fly from LR to MCO...often with just one stop in New Orleans.

No flights from Little Rock to New Orleans on Southwest. Two flights a day from Little Rock to Orlando... early flight changes planes in St. Louis, late flight changes planes in Houston. Three flights a day from Orlando to Little Rock, early and late change planes in St. Louis, mid-day flight changes planes in Houston. Right now one-way internet special is $129 each way, totals about $290 per person with taxes and fees.

Delta has one non-stop per day from Little Rock to Orlando and back and then several flights that change planes in Atlanta. Fares tend to be higher on the nonstop flight. Northwest (Memphis) and American (Dallas) are other airlines that tend to be priced reasonably from Little Rock to Orlando. It seems that the one-stops are pretty much always the same price, no matter which airline. I'd recommend looking at Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak, etc. to compare prices and times for airlines other than Southwest. (If you want to book one of these, book directly on the airline's website.) Then check Southwest and pick the airline with the best times and prices for you. But prices have been pretty high from Little Rock to Orlando lately, I'd say if you can get under $250 per person now, you're doing pretty good!

Right now, Orlando is a featured destination for Southwest, with $94 each way from Little Rock to Orlando for travel July 1 - September 12 with travel booked by midnight, 5/18. It looks like there aren't many of these fares left on weekends or around Labor Day, but you can get the $94 for mid-week travel.
