I ended up calling the hotel directly, and this time they had the AAA/CAA rates. 207.00 for a king, or two queens. 292.00 for a King or 2 queens for club level. 7th floor. Plus taxes. I booked adjoining rooms, 7th floor club access, tasted tower three, view of the park. I hope I got that right!
I had to pay first night on both rooms, and in the fall, I will see if rates go lower with seasons pass. correct?
your rate will not automatically drop.
if you see the rates have decreased, you need to call and have your ressie modified to reflect the lower room rate.
if you booked w/ the AAA/CAA rate, you would need to call and have it changed to the APH room if they have the better rates.
then order the preferred annual pass online.
or buy the ap at guest services when you get to universal.
if you have the aph rate booked, you can check into the hotel and show your ap anytime while you are a guest there.
factor in the cost of the ap and the cost of the room with that rate.
if you save money, it is worth going for.
the AAA/CAA allow the same discount in the park for food and merch. 10%
city walk has many places that also honor the AAA discount.
