Any word on when the rates for 2008 will open up? Trying to make plans and this is the last thing I have to take care of. Thanks for any info.

I'd like to know, too...I am responsible for twelve people and four rooms...for the Wednesday evening before President's weekend until that Monday, President's Day....and watching the boards to see what I should do...Go through Loews...AAA...Directly though the hotel...Make reservations on line......Call on the phone....Whew! :scared1: :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I was told by the rooms mgr @ PBH that they should be in the system this month.

go thru uo site or call the hotel directly. ask them AAA rate, they will give it to you---IF it's out yet (probably isn't, but you can apply it when they ARE available)

:confused3 I can change afterwards...if there is an AAA discount? Do you suggest this is what I should do in order to get the rooms for those dates? We plan to either stay at RP or HR...Do I call both hotels to see what the prices are? :confused3

Call each hotel and book your room now. Ask if the AAA rate is available yet. If they say "no", book it anyway. AS SOON AS AAA RATES BECOME AVAILABLE, call them back and tell them you'd like to change your rate to your AAA rate. There shouldn't be a problem.... I made a Feb. res back in Sept of last year on AAA rate. Just before, the APH rate was better, so I called and asked them to switch it to APH rate....no problem :thumbsup2

OK...I will call both hotels and book one of them...using each room's own credit card and Loews number....(four ) and then keep watching for AAA discounts...Right? There will most likely be a big difference between Hard Rock and Royal Pacific?

exactly....there may only be a 30 or 40 dollar difference between the two hotels....

I made my reservations yesterday for RPR in JAN. No AAA rates available yet, but I booked and got my free upgrade, and was told to call back and get AAA rate later. I was advised they would refund my higher rate deposit and charge the new lower rate at that time.

I was just able to get the suite upgrade for my Feb 2008 and May 2008 stay at PBH. Actually I had already paid for the parlor and room so they are simply going to refund my AMEX the deposits for the Parlor for those stays. I tried to book for July 2008 but those rates are not out yet. The person said those rates (actually all of 2008) should be up by the first week in September.

I booked RPR last night but didn't know I can use my loews card for free upgrade over the phone! I thought I would have to do that during check-in.

I am too waiting for AAA rates to come out.

Thank you everyone! Do you always get an upgrade with the loews card? I guess alot of times we use the annual pass and we do not get the credit for staying on our loews card. This time we bought the 7 day tickets and just using AAA for a discount. This time, we are going in June when it is busier, if that matters? Let me know your thoughts or opinions.

It does not matter if you have a day ticket, or AP or whatever to use the Loews Card. If you stay at Loews hotel, you can use your Loews First for the upgrade.

There is a primer about the Loews upgrades, but i will give you a briefing....

Blue--upgrade at checkin--if available.
Gold--premium room upgrade at time of res if available, suite $35 extra/nite at checkin if available.
Platinum--upgrade at time of res (suite) if available

Now the last couple of times, we have used our Ap for room discount. We have always been told that we do not get the credit for staying, nor the free gift. They have let us use the fitness center. I am really confused and baffled. We go every year and stay for 5 nights each time and the same answer!!!!

Every other year since the HRH opened we go while on our annual 4th of july trip to Disney. My kids being in teen years love the hard rock.We will be going this july 4th for our 9th annual Disney trip with a 4 night stay at the Rock .I cant wait to book our stay July 3rd thru July 7th.We like the concierge club rooms since it saves us alot of money with food and drinks. If you stay other with a family then give it a try you will never stay in a regular room again.

tiggerguy :thumbsup2

Although they seem to slip up or make exceptions, the policy is you must stay using a qualified rate (AAA) to get the upgrade. AP, Florida resident do not qualify.

can someone give me advice looking to try to get a package or AAA deal for HRH in may 08. My daughter is going to be sweet 16 and this is her trip i am going all girls for a long weekend i was thinking of taking them out of school for 2 days . I want to go 5/1 to 5/5 .Can anyone give me a number to call. We have a blue card from lowes but that isn't even a care i just really want the HRH that is where I think they will have the best time as we did as a family last summer. Is there a number to call direct? I will try sept. on line for sure though. We are a party of 5 BTW.

Be sure to price your tickets separate from your room....usually "packages" for UO are not a "deal". Most can get AAA rate cheapest (altho, right now, at UO's site, the "supersaver" rate is the best for 4+ nights) and the 7 day tickets for $86 right now are super cheap! Make sure to add everything a la carte & compare when checking prices of packages!
