Has anyone else noticed the fine print on the reservation confirmation from CRO?:

RATE REVISIONS: "For arrivals after December 31, 2002, deposits or prepayments guarantee room availability only, and rates and package components have not been determined and are subject to change without notice."

I booked the AAA rate for March, 2003. I just called and was assured that the rate revisions clause was just "legal jargon" and that they would honor the rate quoted. When I booked the rate last weekend, they said the AAA rates had just come out for 2003. I got a rate of $103.71 (includes tax) for peak season

Thoughts?

If memory serves, that statement was always on CRO confirmations, that the rate is only guaranteed thru the end of the calendar year.

But, I think if the 2003 rates were out and that's what they booked you at, then you should be safe. Did they tell you what the regular rate was before the discount? The amount you quoted for peak season sounds like it's for a Value resort, too low for a moderate during peak season if it includes taxes.

Yes, it was for the All Star Movies. If you take off the tax, the room rate computes to $92.60 per night. I think it is an OK price for peak season, I just had never seen that clause before and was surprised. With the budgeting you have to do to afford a Disney vacation, you sure don't want to find out they increased the room rate on you when you check in!
