Hey THESHULTZFIVE,
All your choices look great...I have never been to Boatwrights, but just about everywhere else is a fav. The only other comment I have is that I don't think ESPN accepts ADRs...I think its first come, first serve there. I think the 19th is a Thursday (OCT. right?) and you shouldn't have a hard time getting in then, unless there is a Thurdsay night NFL game that night, pretty rare that early in the season, and even then it shouldn't be too bad).
Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

i say ditch boatwrights ....and swap sci fi for the 50s prime time
We've been to Primetime every other trip we've done and never been to Sci-Fi, so we wanted to try it. Is it bad though? And what's wrong with Boatwright's? We haven't ever been there. I was also considering Grand Floridian cafe(or whatever it's called).

We always eat at the Sci-Fi when we go and love it!! Depending on what restaurant we choose, we like to order something that would go along with that theme. So, we always get hamburgers, onion rings, and root beer when we're at Sci-Fi.

We tried 50's Primetime Cafe this last time we went and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. It's alot of fun; but if you've already got the Sci-Fi booked, I would just stick with it. I'm sure you and your family will have a great time.

Oh you know it will be our luck that it will be a thurday game night. I've never been to the Boardwalk and being from NJ, I'm really anxious to see how it looks there. I figured ESPN was something DH would enjoy(last year we went to whispering canyon and he was soooo embarrassed from doing the hokey pokey in front of everyone that he does not really want to go anywhere to eat that night, but I thought he'd feel safe at ESPN). If it turns out to be game night, do you think I should switch it for somewhere else or does it still not really get crowded there?

Definately keep Le Cellier....it's one of our favorites....we are eating there twice on our trip in May!

Hi,

I'll give you my honest opinion :-)

Boatwrights - we ate there last year for Breakfast...oh my god - FABULOUS! We loved it. For dinner though...I wasn't a big fan of their menu but there was always a lot of people eating so, must be a good sign ;-)

Sci-Fi - We absolutely LOVED it! We ate the burgers... entrees were onion rings and the cheese dip.... we had dessert but we were SOOO full. We loved the experience and would go back again.

ESPN - No ADR's there but it is worth the wait ;-) We loved it... portions are huge! We ate like pigs....and as an ending, we ate the superbowl sundae. PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR and order it for the group. It's something else to see and to taste :-)

On a personal note, I did the same last year, asking peoples advice between this & that restaurant, etc. You know what I realized? You'll go back probably... try the restaurants you want to try. Nobody has the same taste.
We didn't like Mama Melrose some people LOVED IT! We adored Angelo's (our FAV!) other people disliked it. I say go with your gut, review the menus - you know your family well enough to know which one to try!

Good luck :-)

Hi there! Please don't cancel Sci-Fi...I think your girls will love it. (You know the deal, I imagine...sitting in a "car" and watching old monster movie film clips as if at a drive-in movie.) The only thing I'd say is stick with burgers, fries and milk-shakes. Anything beyiond that is asking for trouble! (The milk-shakes, by the way, are very good...but super thick!) But...with all due respect to the other person who responded...Prime Time is a lot of fun as well.

Funny you mentioned Boatwright's. I've never heard or read anything at all about this restaurant and when I checked the menu, I saw a whole lot of stuff that sounded really good. So, I started a thread a few days ago and got plenty of good responses. Look for it on restaurants page...it should be buried on about page 5 by now. It's worth looking for...got some really good answers. (And by the way, we crossed it off our list because of them!)

As for your other choices...they look really good! Our family absolutely loves Liberty Tree. Food is good -- not great, but good and solid. But the atmosphere and how they handle everything...classic Disney! Boma's is phenomenal -- just great all the way around for kids and adults.

We're in the minority on Ohana. Was really looking forward to eating there, but was disappointed. Thought the food was just very average. But I think it's the kind of place every visitor should experience -- I think your kids will have a lot of fun.

LeCellier is excellent. We love Chef Mickey -- but have been there for breakfast only. I hear dinner can be wild -- be prepared!

Have fun -- your daughters are adorable, by the way.

Thanks all for the help:
eblack0409-from looking at the menu I think Le Cellier will be one of our favs too.

Chanty_ You're right about going with my gut. And if we don't like one of the places, there's always next time. The superbowl sundae sounds great and I know DH will like ESPN so hopefully we won't have to wait too long.

cd&kids- The thing about Boatwrights for me is that, we stayed at French Quarter on our trip last year and the Jumbalaya in the food court was sooooo good that I'm hoping it's the same on the Boatwright's menu. Thanks for the compliment about my girls, too.

I think you made great choices. Just be aware that food at the Sci-Fi is usually very bad. But it is a cool experience. :goodvibes

Good choices, the only thing I would suggest is to try meals other than dinner.
The dinner choices, though definitely varying from place to place are still the same fare.
I would definitely add some breakfasts and possibly a lunch. Just my .02

I think your choices look great and varied. :)

We ate at CM's for dinner for the first time in Jan. and had a great time. Kids loved the characters and choosing from the buffet. The make your own sundea bar was a big hit.

We love Boma's! Our kids do too. We also like ESPN. We've been in Oct. around the same time you are going and it was never a problem to get in - not much of a wait if any. If by chance there is a wait that night you might want to try Spoodles also on the Boardwalk and very good.

For our upcoming trip we are also doing for the first time LTT dinner, Le Cellier, and Sci Fi. So to me they look like good choices! I especially am looking forward to Le Cellier. Just reading their menu made my mouth water. :)

Have fun and your girls are adorable!
