Rate Discrepancy at Poly

Our dates to stay at the Poly are May 8 to 15, which according to the 2011 schedule posted on Mousesavers is Regular season. The weekday rate is $445 and weekend $470. However when I looked up the rates for the same dates on the Disneyworld website, it's showing $495 for weekday and $520 for weekends. Both basic Garden View rooms. Why the discrepancy, and which should I believe?

Hmmm ... I might have just realized the answer. When checking the rates at the WDW site, my info shows 4 adults, which could be why it's showing the extra $50 per night. Oh well, it's only money. LOL However if we don't receive a Pin or general public discount, we won't be staying there at all. After all, too much is too much!

I'd bet that is your answer. Don't you hate when things like that occur to you just after you say them out loud (or, in this case, post them publicly). :lmao: Happens to me ALL the time!

that is a lot of cheddar to put out for that time frame huh? I am still kind of upset that WDW raised the prices for next year this time and called it a new "fall rate" or something due to the popularity it has become.:sad2: Around this time is the best time for me and my family. I'm going to miss being in the world this time next year if I do not get a great discount too!:wizard:

Mousavers is pretty reliable, but I've found once or twice Disney math off by a couple dollars. If you had four adults in one room that likely explains the add-on of $25 per day per adult.

Another common reason for differences is remembering the tax.

A third common difference is all the default settings: make sure everything about the ticket features, dates, trip insurance, meal plan choices all match up . EVerytimg you toggle back and forth they go back to the default settings.

Even still - I have looked online and called Disney directly and gotten slightly different rates - usually just off by a dollar or two. Still more maddening is the package deals where ticetks and dining are part of it- the math NEVER adds up correctly. If you play around with the number of guests especially - the math just does not come out even. It's off by like $10 or more sometimes. It's totally wacky!:scared1:
