rate at WL

i called last night to inquire about the conceigre rate for the wilderness lodge for 3 nights in june. it would be a DC rate. i was told 1100+. does this sound high to you all? my rate for a woods view is $764. last summer we were able to do an upgrade when we checked-in and it was about 30-40$ a night. any chance of that this year? thanks!

We are booked now for WL, woods view, at $244. a night. That's with no discount. With DC it would probably be about 210. But I'm waiting for the codes to come out. I think it is a special occurance to get concierge for $30 xtra a night. I'm kinda hoping that they offer it to me when we go in Aug.

It sounds about right to me. Rack rate for concierge and the paid upgrade offered at check in are usually different.The rack rate for the room at that time is $385.

You can see if there may be AP codes out for that time.

If you DEFINATELY want to stay concierge, you should book it and then hope for an AP rate. If you want to just book any other room and then see if you can get the $30-$40 per night upgrade at check-in then you can do this.

Either way, keep a watch on AP rates for the time you are going. If it's not important to you to have concierge then just wait and ask about an upgrade at check-in. Either way I am sure you will have a good time.
