Raspberry, strawberry or chocolate sauce recipes?

I've just learned how to make cheesecake which has been a hit with everyone who has tried it. Problem is, I don't have any recipes for strawberry, raspberry or chocolates sauces. I did try one raspberry one but it was DISGUSTING! Do you have sauce recipes to share or can you make any other suggestions for cheesecake toppings?

I've used this recipe for pancakes, etc but think it would work for cheesecake as well. It's not terribly thin, like "true" pancake syrup - it reminds me more of the sauces you get over cheesecake.

Fruit Syrup

½ c sugar
3 Tbl cornstarch
2 c water
2 c fruit, fresh or frozen
Bring sugar, cornstarch & water to boil, stirring constantly. Add fruit & simmer until tender.

Why not just slice fresh strawberries with sugar. Once the juice forms (usually in about 1 hour) put it onto of the cheesecake. Thats what I always do.

Okay, this is going to sound a wee bit strange, but ya gotta trust me!!! Take a jar of raspberry jam (about a cup or so) and stir in a tablespoon of cocoa powder in a small pot and heat it up until it thins out and bubbles. If it's still too thick, try adding a tablespoon of water. This is so good!!! We stir in a bit of Kahlua too, but that's taking decadence to a whole new level. This is positively wonderful on cheesecake but a good vanilla icecream is all the excuse I need. This sauce always amazes my friends and no one can figure out how I make it. I know though, that you'll keep my secret. Right??!!
