Rarest character you've met

WOW! When/how did you do this? I didn't know that the FOTLK cast ever did meet & greets.

One day last August, their 10:00 show was cancelled. CM's told those of us waiting that we would see something special if we stayed. THey wouldn't say what. Most guests left, including my DH and DD and DS. It turned out to be the cast who came out to meet us. The CM's said they never did this.

It was interesting talking to the cast. Some, like the stilt walkers, stayed in character. Some of the Tumble Monkeys told me they had worked in the circus. Mostly I just told the performers how much I enjoyed the show and how talented they are.

I think this was an example of how being open to a change in plans can work out well. Yes, missing the 10:00 show messed up our "schedule" since we had to come back later in the day to watch it. But the meet and greet was really special. And it was nice of the cast to do this.

For me I would have to say it was Jack Sparrow. DD and I met him at the Pirate and Princess party in 2008. Waited in line for an hour and 45 minutes but it was well worth it. He's so dreamy. :lovestruc

He looks good, almost like johnny was there!

In our recent trips to WDW, probably Friar Tuck. We've met Genie before (same trip in 2006) - is he rare now?

I was with my older DD, then 17 months at DLR when my wife had a conference there. We met Zowie Olie, Rollie Polie Olie's sister. She was one of the few characters that my DD was comfortable with. Unfortunately, my DD wouldn't let go of me, so no pics.

Let me tell you; 6 hours of carrying a 17 month old because she refused to walk holding hands or ride in her stroller wasn't fun. She only wanted to run!

Well they weren't really rare at the time....

As much as we visit we never see Hatter anymore

I miss Mushu, the pic didn't come out very well and we never made it back to see him.

Herc and Meg, I remember Phil being out around that time too

Kenai, was hoping they would bring him back now that Koda is a regular at AK..on a side note we met Koda today and heard at least 4 people call him "Little Bear" I couldn't help but think WRONG CHANNEL people

Not really a rare character but a rare site..Belle scooped DD up like she was nothing

My mom has the pictures somewhere, but back in 97/98 i met dreamfinder and figment. My mom even has video of me sitting with them and figment biting my nose.

Prince Phillip!

Its like I was 11 when I walked up to him. Dh got a huge kick out of it and those are our favorite pictures from the trip.

BTW, he was only out as it was Valentines Day.

One that I never see on the character lists is Prince Ali. We saw him back in 2007 at the Princess Storybook dinner and the CM told us that Aladdin as Prince Ali is not seen often.

I can't find the picture but back in 1999 I met Doug Funnie (from the cartoon series).

They do make it much harder than ever before to find rare characters. Try the late afternoon random character sets at DHS when you're back. There are some rare ones in there sometimes. Also, MNSSHP is great for rare characters! :cool1: Beyond that........ a lot of it is sheer luck.

What a great thread! I'm shamelessly bumping it for hopefully more posts and pictures!

We haven't met anyone considered "rare" yet, but we've met a whole lot of characters! I hope we can meet some rare ones on this trip!

I wish Disney would put out at least one very rare character per day, and alternate them! That would be amazing and bring that much more magic to everyone's Disney experience!

Met the Genie on a Disney cruise. I'm not sure that qualifies as rare, but I've never seen him again. My daughter was scared to death of him!

I'm pretty young, and may live under a rock but can someone please tell me who the snow queen is and is she from a disney movie? Thank you!

The baddie from Snow White. She is also referred to as the Evil Queen sometimes. I'm not aware of any other names for her.

I am SO jealous of some of your meet n' greet pic's!! I would love to meet/take pics with the muppets (specifically Kermit!!), and Mushu!!

Ironically alot of these rare charecters reference here have been regular charecters at some point since this started. Some are party only regulars but: Jack, Genie, Prince Ali, Snow Queen, and many of the Villians. Jimminy until Dec was an everyday charecter at AK.

I'd say my rarest are Koda and Hercules several years ago in 2004 or 2005 still have the autographs but the ex kept the computer in the split up and it wasn't worth the fight to get those pictures b/c he was in some of them. :goodvibes

Thanks to a couple of parties, and just being in the right place at the right time,it kinda looks like I've met a few "rare" characters.

We got the following @ MNSSHP last year!

Then this past Dec, with just luckily being in the right place at the right time, we managed to get Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh!!

I don' know if these are rare, but I hadn't seen them before. In October we saw Wendy and the Genie in Epcot. Wendy was on one of those path behind club cool/ Innoventions. The best part was right after we saw Wendy, Snow White came running up to us in the same area. It was in that area where the fence curves to head up towards Journey Into Imagination. Nobody else was around. It reminded me of back in the day when the characters just walked around and it was a free for all.

The Genie was right on the main walkway/bridge to the World Showcase.

That same day we saw Cinderella near the International Gateway.

Oh, and the Beast was out with Belle in France.

I can't tell you how envious I am that you met Rabbit!
You, too, Owl's Friend!

I so want to meet Rabbit!!!
