OK - who can tell me about Rapunzel in the Magic Kingdom? I know she is over by the castle where Belle used to be. I have heard Flynn Ryder isn't with her any longer - is that still the case?

Also do they still do the part where so many kids come in and get to color and dance with the characters as they come out before they start signing autographs? Are the lines still long? AND does anyone have the times?

Thanks!

Rapunzel is still in the same spot in MK alone. Flynn only appears for special events now. The charecters no longer color and dance w/ the guest, the CM's will come out and do some of the pre meet events with them now. The lines are still long but not as long as with Flynn if you do not go first thing in the morning plan on an hour + more if it is a peak or crowded time. You can check charecter greeting times for your trip at www.kennythepirate.com or www.wdwent.com.

We saw Rapunzel last Sunday.
I think she came out at 3:30, we got in line at approx 3:10 and were 3rd in line. Once we left it was really crowded.

Ask her where PAscal is if/when you meet her..... :)

We were at the park for a predicted 7.7 day. We arrived for rope drop (9am) and made a beeline straight for her line. Keep to the right on main st. and once you hit the hub(keeping right), take the 2nd spoke. Her area is immediately to the left as you get to the end of the spoke. We were about the 4th family in line when we got there. We probably could have there even faster but I was pushing one stroller and my DD9 was pushing another(DH went for a haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop!)

By the time the meet n greet area opened at 9:15, there were about 30 families in line. A CM will walk down the line and ask how many in your party. They let in about 40 people at a time. There are still coloring sheets for the kids to color while waiting and the CM's encourage them to do so. Rapunzel was lovely....ask her why she is wearing shoes!

We left the area by 9:30 (again we were about 4th in line). By that time, her line already reached from her area back to where that little Cinderella wishing fountain thingy is. This was all about 3 weeks ago.

Hope that helps ;) Enjoy :)

If you finished with Rapunzel at 9:30...where did you head next? Did that screw up your touring plans?

I have some great MK character touring plans on my site. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Hi just while we are in the subject of Rapunzel characters can you meet "mother" anywhere? Or is she in any parades?
My DD is quite obsessed with her and keeps saying father christmas (santa to US folks!) is going to bring me a mother!!! Fortunately she hasn't said this outside of the house - yet - where someone who may not understand would hear!! :scared1: :rotfl:

Thanks

Claire :)

And I'll reread the books
If I have time to spare
I'll play Angry Birds some more,
I'm sure there's room somewhere.
And then I'll check and check,
and check and check my iPhone
Stuck in the same line I've always been.

And I'll keep wonderin' and wonderin'
And wonderin' and wonderin'
When will will the darned line move?

Mother Gothel doesn't exist in Walt Disney World, sorry.

When I went and saw her in February it was around noon. I got in line about 11:30 though. There were maybe 10-15 families in front of me? Not entirely sure, point is line was short for Rapunzel so instead of continuing on with my original plans (picking up a FP for Space Mountain before heading off for my ADR) I decided to take advantage of the short line (I had seen it the day before where it had been all the way up past the wishing well and Rapunzel wasn't scheduled to appear again for a while) and see her. That was on a Saturday by the way.

Rapunzel remains a huge draw and I have seen average wait times 30-50 minutes long (longer depending on time of year). Flynn Rider appears during MNSSHP and MVMCP and other special events. You may see Rapunzel pop up at Epcot for random meet and greets usually at International Gateway or Future World inside or behind the character spot.

Still cursing myself for not insisting we go last May when there was still Flynn and dancing!:mad::mad:

We didn't have a set in stone touring plan, but I had kindof planned for about 45 min to 1hr to see her. My DH had grabbed fast passes for Space for later in the day aft and then we headed into fantasyland for Peter Pan, IASW then kept on going to HM and then over to Splash, Pirates and Aladdin's Magic Carpets all before lunch :) It was a good productive day!

Did you get to see Tink and/or Ariel? I'm worried we'll have to choose Rapunzel over them? Is it possible to see all 3 AND ride Dumbo and FP Space???

Actually right after lunch we got in line for Ariel and Eric. She was to come out at 2:15 and since we needed a bit of a rest we hopped into her line about 20 minutes early and sat down! We were the 2nd family in line....the first family in line had actually brought a brown bag lunch and ate it while in line.

We saved Tink for our 2nd MK day (her area is right beside where Ariel is). While we were in line for Ariel, Tinks line was posted at an hour. When we came back for Tink on our 2nd day, we went at 1:30 and it took maybe 20 minutes to get through the line.

And you will probably find Peter Pan right around the corner from Ariel too.....Ariel, Eric and Peter talk back and forth to each other in between guests!

Thanks for the help. MK is going to be so tricky for me this year.

There was no dancing when we were there in May...but who cares, Flynn was there at least.

And I just read this morning that he is COMING BACK! Still waiting for the official release with details.

I think it's a shame that Flynn isn't there anymore. We did this last year when kids were DD4 and DS6, and we got some of the best pics of the trip from this meet 'n greet. Flynn was a riot, and both kids kept talking about how silly he was afterwards. Oh, well... glad we did it while he was still there. :goodvibes

The gossip at MK is that he's coming back this spring.

The gossip also said that the main reason he was pulled was that he was so popular his presence made the lines too long and guests were getting very angry about the wait.
