I would love for Rapunzel to sign a frying pan for me. I want to give it to a Rapunzel fan next Christmas. Will it be okay to bring it into the parks? I know with all that is going on lately with the security and all I wondered. Or is there somewhere I can buy a frying pan in the park for her to sign?

Do you intend to put the frying pan into the fire?
:jumping1:

I personally don't think security would consider it an object to confiscate, but these are crazy times. Perhaps a call to member services may help.

No they will put it up for decoration at their home. I will ask our resort when we are there. I am thinking of having it wrote in gold marker pen. :)

I know someone who did that but it was before the recent changes. But I do think it happens often so it may not cause them to bat an eye

On a side note, the same person had Ariel sign a dingle hopper (fork for the confused)

And then, you'll have to worry about TSA letting you carry it on the airplane home...

I bet if you asked at the front desk of your hotel if they could have Rapunzel sign it for you they could. Then you would just have to pick it it up once she signs it for you. That would alleviate any security issues and your need to carry the weight and awkwardness around the park.

I have heard that in certain circumstances some guests have been able to leave an autograph book at the desk and they will do their best to have that elusive character sign it for them. Maybe it'd work for you?!

I think I will have her sign something and modge podge it into the frying pan. Seems easier than trying to get the frying pan in. ;)
plus, you wouldn't have to carry around a heavy frying pan

How about having her sign one of the tiny cast metal frying pans?

Our friends decorated smallish (7-9") frying pans for our girls to bring in and have signed a few years ago, and I wasn't thrilled with carrying it around (to and from the locker, then back on the bus).

But I bet you wouldn't have trouble getting it in. I don't recall seeing "frying pans" on the list of new regulations. :p

Here ya go.

Print it.
Mode Podge it.
Done.

This, or just practice copying that image PP posted and autograph it yourself. No different than the college/20 something's method in a park (i.e., the character actor practices copying the signature many times, then goes live on stage when she's ready). I'd only bother bringing something bulky or heavy into a park to have the character actually sign it if you really feel a photo of her signing it is really important (or my child would get alot out of seeing it happen - like if the autographed item were for my child).

See, I assumed all along they were talking about the mini ones. No way would I carry around a 8-10" cast iron skillet either.

I agree... plus I would imagine a smaller frying pan is not seen as threat or weapon to security. ;)

Good luck!

I can see one having to explain to security why one is carrying a full size frying pan, but the little ones probably shouldn't even cause a blink.

Silver shows up really well on black. If the frying pan is black just have her sign a matching black sheet of paper with a silver marker. Cut out the paper in a circle and then apply to the inside or outside. Sharpie makes a silver metallic marker.

You do realize it's not the "real" Rapunzel, right? You could just as easily sign the frying pan at home copying the sample given. I'd rather do that than carry it around the park all day!

We have some items signed from our Disney Cruise. We took a picture of them signing our items and display it next to it. That provenance creates a great magical moment when we see it or have someone comment on it.

Next you tell me something about Santa not being real!:santa:

:clown::joker:;)

yeah, since there are maybe 10 different people who "play" Rapuzel, just consider yourself the 11th, and sign it.
