RAPstar's First Disney trip in 10 years (Sept. 2010 PTR) Whoops! & *FINAL* ADRs 9/20

Just bought my Disney tickets!!!!!
:cool1:

I'm now in a preferred room at the POP. Called an put a request in for a room in the 70's building, top floor near a staricase. So, here's hoping I get that, so I can have a straight shot to the bus stops. Second choice would be the same thing in an 80's building. Cross your fingers
Just so you know - 80's isn't preferred. We've stayed in room 9434 (basically where the number 9472 is on the map) which is closer to the bus stops than the 70's building. ... check out this map - the yellow areas highlighted indicate the preferred rooms

Bought my Disney tickets. 8 day Magic Your Way ticket, waiting for me at Disney's will call. Does anyone know if they can access the ticket at the resort? Or do I have to get it from a ticket booth?
Yes, since you bought them directly from Disney they should be able to put your tickets onto your Key to the World card for you at the resort :thumbsup2

I know 80's isn't preferred, but if they don't have what I want in the 70's, would there be an issue if I asked to be in a non-preferred room?

No there shouldn't be a problem if there are rooms available in that building :) If not, you can check back with them the next day though to see if you can be moved. Truthfully if you ask to be near transportation odds are they will try and accommodate your request

I believe only 60's is preferred because we stayed at the 70's in January non-preferred and didn't get upgraded or anything. It was great. The decor kept cracking me up because I was picturing my parents as the dancers on the buildings doing the hustle etc. Oh, and they play songs from the Grease soundtrack, so you can't go wrong.

BTW, I vote for Go the Distance. Seriously one of my favorite Disney songs of all time. PM me if you want any details/opinions about auditioning for AIE.

Gah!! I need to stay away from Disney's website. Just changed ADR's again. I'll now be doing California Grill at 9:35pm instead of Ohana. Yay!!

I think you made the right decision :goodvibes ... Just an FYI - head to the check-in desk for Cali Grill about 1/2 hour before your ADR time. They'll take you up and you can sit in the lounge and have a drink before your ADR time :thumbsup2

Get out of my brain, Bonny!! Though I'm not sure if I will drink much since that's money I can use on actual food, lol. :rotfl:

hey andy! glad to hear u pulled a trip together this year:cool1:
Yes, that's me. I'm Robert, though those crazy folks over at the Universal board (that were hanging there before Harry Potter invaded) know me as Andy. Or Hubert if you're a Canadian. :rolleyes1 Its a long story....

i may be stark raving mad but im not crazy;)

u r killer:thumbsup2not sure if it's on the idol list or if in ur range but my fav elton song is funeral for a friend, have u ever tried it?

the filet is to die for, make sure to check out if wishes is running/get there early enough to grab a prime spot outside...the girls @ checkin will let u in early if needed

if ur going to miss MNSSHP make sure to check out the parade videos (especially the gravediggers routine with shovels:woohoo:). im thinking u'd luv the costumes, both viewing & participating (so many really extraordinary...i confess to dressing up as a very large minnie mouse one year:rolleyes1)...i just luved the double takes i got on the bus from fellow passengers to MK pre party mid afternoon...not sure if they knew there was a party that night

Yay! Its Janet!!

I have never heard "Funeral for a Friend" cause as of now my Elton knowledge is limited to his 2-CD greatest hits that came out around 03 and the music from The Lion King and Aida.

The night I'm going to Cali Grill is a MNSSHP night so I'm hoping I can see Hallowishes from the viewing balcony. I was thinking of getting there right around 9? Then the next night I'll watch Wishes in the park. :thumbsup2 I really do wish I could go to MNSSHP but there's always another year. And I think I saw you in the background of someone else's photo from MNSSHP. It looked just like you and they were dressed as Minnie.

don't make me go digging in photoshop:lmao:

i'd want to be on the CR balcony 15 minutes before the FW as u can run into a line @ CR to be escorted up, give urself plenty of time

make sure to check out Goodbye Yellow Brick Road when u get a chance:thumbsup2

So 8:30 should be a good time to try to get up to the top? lol

The album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" or just the song?

I love the 70s building at Pop. Even if you're not in a preferred room, it's a GREAT location! Sending lots of good vibes you get your request. :goodvibes

the whole album is a classic:) (u could sample it on youtube or limewire)

if wishes are @ 9 pm i'd be @ podium no later than 8:30 pm. Im OCDish re being early especially @ WDW when u need to make connections via bus/monorial. I'd plan on arriving @ CR probably around 7:30 pm & 'poking around' the grounds (baylake is beautiful), giftshops & they used to have one of the better gamerooms (not sure if it's was altered during rehab or not).

have u checked out the menu @ CG yet to decide what u want to eat?

Good plan! I love the CR. The Mary Blair murals are some of my favorite Disney art.

I've decided on getting sushi and a flatbread and the cheese board. I figure that should fill me up. If not a flatbread then an appetizer. I'm excited!!

im getting excited about my trip just reading your PTR:cool1:

the yoshi? sushi platter was huge, had to help DS make a dent in it (good, and i don't particularly like sushi lol)

we did splurge & wash it down with a glass of the ironhorse sparkling cuvee:cloud9:while watching the sunset over baylake

I've heard nothing but good things about the sushi, so I'm excited to try it. I may not have any alcohol....that would cut into my food money. :rotfl:

Are we, like, kinda separated at birth? Loving this. :lmao:

Maybe. I am adopted and haven't found my bio parents, and my mom thinks they may have been from NY. :confused3 Or it could just be that we're both cuspish Geminis..

popcorn::
So joining in on this one!

:welcome: Glad you're here!!

I got some mail today.

I've never been this close to a Disney vacation before, so it feels almost confirmed in my head that I'm going!! :rotfl: It also almost makes me want to pay the $15 or so to check my suitcase........but I'm still too frugal to do that! :goodvibes I'm sooooooooooo happy!!!!
