RAPstar's First Disney trip in 10 years (Sept. 2010 PTR) Whoops! & *FINAL* ADRs 9/20

Hey, our dates overlap, so we should be in the world at the same time (provided the hurricanes stay away!)

Maybe we'll run into one another, either way, I hope you have a wonderful time!

That would be cool! What's your park itinerary?

Would you believe I don't have one? It's killing me, but I'm trying to not plan much for this trip, I just kind of want to go with the flow! Which, as someone who loves planning, is eating me alive. All i have right now are ADR's!

I was looking at your ADR's, excpet for the first couple we seem to be at different places on different days. I'm not getting park hopper this trip, but I'm sure we can try to hang out sometime, if ya want! :goodvibes

Only 19 more days!! (14 more work days!) OMG, its so close I can taste the Dole Whip!!! :rotfl: So........some random stuff. I found out recently that by working for AAA I get free parking at The Parking Spot!!! :cheer2::cool1: Now I don't have to bother anyone by making them take me to the 'port at 3am (to be there by 4. I'm always 3 hours early unless I can help it.) :rolleyes1

Yesterday I went to the Chinese buffet by my work. My fortune from my fortune cookie: "An enjoyable vacation is awaiting you soon" :scared1::woohoo:

I'm packed....for the most part. Just some stuff that I can't really pack till I get closer to leaving. As you can see I have a brand new pair of Gold Toe socks to wear during my trip. Yes, I wear Crocs with socks. It did wonders for my feet last trip.

I have all my papers and such printed out and put together. This includes my ticket confirmations, my ADR's, my ME envelope, and then the day before I leave I'll print out my boarding pass and put in here.

I "borrowed" a little spiral notebook think I found at work and will take with me to make notes.

Yay!!

i knew there was a reason i liked you;)...you know how to properly wear crocs! crocs + socs (i wear gold toes too, prefer the black ones with extra cushy soles)

curious, are you going to fit all ur gear in that suitcase? if so, i bow to ur ability to pack light.

... I agree with Keisha ... I usually wear crocs & sox - but mostly because I can't stand cold feet!! I usually don't wear them at Disney though as I love my ever so comfy Teva Kena flip flops for touring the parks (which have unfortunately been discontinued :sad1:)

... and I too bow to your packing abilities :worship: - I could never fit all my crap in a suitcase that small ...

My mother taught me the secret to fitting clothes into my suitcase. Rolling them!

:rotfl: I don't think the cape would keep her all that warm. Its a thin, thin, polyblended, cheap thing I gor for $5 cause some Six Flags worker lied about what he thought I weighed.

As for packing light, I have about 8(?) shirts in there, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of jeans, my swim suit and the socks. And my Mickey Croc flip flops. Missing: 2 shirts my mother said she bought me, 2 pairs of shorts, unmentionables. The Navy Crocs I will be wearing to the 'port. The flippers are mainly for the pool. May try them out on arrival day instead of the Navy ones just to see how they go.

Long time lurker, first home poster. I have to ask, is the 3 hours early to the airport obsession a DFW thing? I have friends from McKinney who do the same thing. I can't stand to get there that early!

Well, our trip overlaps, and at one point we had 3 park days the same, missing each other at Liberty Tree by under an hour. But it looks like I won't get to be in the audience at AIE and shout "Freebird!"
Have an awesome trip! Hope you do a trip report!

PS I am looking at the suitcase pic on my phone, and I thought the crocs were someone standing on your suitcase! Yikes! I thought that's how you would fit everything in!

I'm incredibly OCD and would rather be super early than right on time. If you see me say hi!

Crocs with socks rocks!! I know it isn't exactly the most fashionable choice, but when I see people standing around wincing because of their sore, blistered feet, I'll be standing there on day 7 with my feet still feeling like day 1! Plus if it starts raining, just take the socks off and you're still good to go. I don't know if there's many more things I hate more than spending all day walking around in wet socks/shoes.

I agree. Which reminds me I need to get some cheap plastick ziploc bags to put the socks in just for that reason.....and for the few water rides.

i wore a brand new pair of crocs few years ago to epcot (thinking they didn't need to be broken in:rolleyes1). glad im 'over prepared' as family calls it & had in my small cross body bag i carry: a baggie w/those doughnut hole blister things ($ store find), bandaids & antibiotic cream plus extra pair of socs or the trip would've been ruined for me.

Not OCD, just smart imo. my DH is another one who wants to always be @ airport early, I always teased him. Trip this summer, we flew airtran (they now have a tape measure & use on any luggage that is close to oversize:mad:backed up the line). Despite being in line over 2 hours early to check luggage we were advised to run to catch our 6:30 am flight by TSA, it was already boarding when we reached the gate.

Its stories like that that I use whenever someone teases me about getting to the 'port early. lol I'm just glad I get free parking so I don't have to bother anyone to take me there at 3am.
