I purchased this strap and tried it out this weekend - really liked it and found it very comfortable. However, I have a couple of questions... it still seemed to flop just a little more on the side than I expected. Any suggestions? Also, lost my lens cap off the camera - any suggestions to prevent that? Thanks,

There's a product called "cap keeper" that can hold onto a loose cap. I hate those things because it can add motion to your images with the cap swinging back and forth on your lens.

If there's enough motion to cause your cap to fly off.... be careful of your lens mount. You don't want to warp the lens mount over time.

With the Black Rapid Strap the key is the proper adjustment. I have the length adjusted so my hand falls on the camera. So when I'm walking, my hand just rests on it. Also, are you using a lens hood? I never have my cap on when I'm carrying it, using the lens hood to protect the front element.

Don't adjust it a little closer to your belt line, rather than lower onto your thigh, and keep the lens cap in your pocket, if my camera is out, I almost never have the lens cap on it.

Yes, mine hangs on my hip or just a touch lower, basically in a natural position for my hands to grab it, grab the photo, and then return. Just that quick. I never have the lens cap on when I have my camera out. I use a lens hood to protect the front element as others have indicated. I have had the Lens hood come off before when carrying my D5300. It turns out it was not on good in the first place. Best of luck

Thanks I had it sounds like it was adjusted too high closer to the waist and I need a lens hood. Thanks for your help!
