Rapid Rewards One Way?

Does anyone know if you can use a one way Rapid Rewards credit? My mom has 8 credits in her Rapid Rewards account. Can she use that for just one side of her trip. We book the trip in separate legs anyways?

Any idea?

You need 16 credits for a Rapid Rewards award. You can't cash in 8 credits for a one way ticket:

When you get 16 credits you get a R/T ticket that is really two one way tickets. You can use it for a R/T, two people one way or even for two different one way flights. As an example if you have one R/T ticket but two passengers it's often better use your ticket for both passengers for the more expensive leg of your trip, particularly if you can get a DING fare for one of your legs.

As was previously posted you need 16 credits, SW doesn't give you one ticket at 8 credits.

Thanks. Thats what I needed to know. I was confused because they always say ticket A ticket B. That is good to know about being able to use the 16 credits for two people going one way! Thanks.
