It was really a nightmare for me. I don't enjoy camping or "roughing it" when I'm at WDW, so it really wasn't the place for me. The cabin felt very damp on rainy days, and when we'd come in from the parks water would come in. Also the bus situation there isn't good, and we didn't happen to have a rental car that time... which I think is a necessity if you stay there. Also I just like having things close to me... places to get food, drinks, relax, swim, etc, and everything was a long walk from our cabin. I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere, with no view except trees. Which for me isn't a thrill because our house backs up to a woods. I prefer resorts where I feel tropical or beachy... and I like to be near the parks and boat transportation. I like nightlife, restaurants, bars, things to do, etc. Just not my type of place. I counted the minutes to get out of there! I felt like I was a girl scout again!!!

I respect your opinion Erika but I love the FW cabins!!! When our kids were small we stayed there all the time. I love the "no roughing it" - roughing it!! Daily maid service, they even do your dishes!! The little bit of extra room and even tho I never cook on vacation it was nice to have the frig with the kids-after we put the kids to bed it was nice to sit and have a cocktail and unwind-now that our kids are all grown up and it's just the two of us I probably wouldn't stay there, but I really thought it was just about perfect. However, big disclaimer here, we did have a rental car which I agree is a must and also we had a golf cart & you could drive it down by the pier and take the boat to MK. FWC is a unique place and I agree it may not be for everyone.
