I am trying to create a photo book online but when I uploaded the CDs only some of the pictures uploaded. I don't know if he saved the CD's in a different format. Is anyone else having this problem? Also, has anyone taken the CD's to print photos at a store like Walmart? I had problems because they would not let me take the photos because they need a copyright release to keep on file in order for me to print saying I own the copyrights. I recall that in my package it states we will own the copyright. Has anyone had to get this copyright release from Randy? or am I wrong?

I took my engagement photos to Walmart (not Randy's though). I used the machine next to the photocounter and selected the photos I wanted to print. I never had a problem with them. DF tried to do the same thing, but went to the counter and talked to them. They told him he needed the copyright and refused to do it. Another option maybe to go to Kinko's with there picture print machines. I tried that first, and my file was so large it never fully uploaded. I was never able to print from them, but it still maybe an option for you.

I would be curious what you find out about the copyright release too. When we signed our contract (since it doesn't say that we would own the copyright) we asked him if we could write it in. He said no problem and had us write in the area where extra information is added. I'm hoping this will be sufficient and keep us from having similar problems.

I'd like to know too...Im looking at hiring him and want to watch out for any problems. :)

OT~~ About how much was his deposit? and how long did it take him to return phone calls??

I called on Monday and Linda called me back on Friday (That's when she does her catching up). My deposit was half of the package price.

We only had to pay a third of our package price with a second payment due a few months before the wedding (this November) and final payment one week out. It might just depend on how early you book.

ok..here's hoping its a third right now *fingers crossed* lol

I had to get a copywrite release from Wally World before getting my photos. I called Linda and she faxed one to DH at work in no time. They will make a copy at walmart and keep it on file so that you wont ever have to do it again!

Thanks for the info, I have to call Linda now. I still don't know why some of the pictures wont load to create my photobook. I will have to give it another try.

Waltmart gave me so much trouble. I understand where they are comming from but I even had refular unprofessional pictures of me that my aunt took when I was a kid that I had scanned from pictures that were not mine onto a disk. Walmart told me that they needed to see the picture or negative of them because they look professional to them, the disk wasn't good enough. I was so mad, the picture was 30 years old plus I didn't have the original picture. So I told them well I guess people have to take bad pictures because if they are good they won't develop them! I was ticked.

I had a bad dealing with Walmart too-- i guess they get a power trip from working in the photo department instead of the meat;)
