Randy Chapman Engagement Photoshoot

Hey Everyone,

I am thinking about having Randy shoot our engagement pics in October or so. I called him over a week ago, and have heard nothing yet . I realize he is probably an incredibly busy guy, though. My question is: has anyone used him, and if so, can I see any of your pics? Also, how much does his engagement shoot run, cost-wise, and what do you get out of it? Thanks, y'all!

We just had our engagement pics taken in March at Port Orleans Riverside. Ours were taken for free because it was included with our wedding package. I think his normal fee for engagement pics is $275, not including any pictures. You will have to purchase them separately, however he will send you ALL of your proofs and a cd disc. We had a wonderful time with him and he took many amazing pictures. I think we took pics for a little over an hour and ended up with plenty to choose from! We are using Randy for our engagement pictures in June - it's getting so close! And again for our wedding in March 2008. We're doing an Intimate Wedding, so his package #1, plus engagement. Those were $75 - hugely reasonable!

I'm going to start my planning journal AFTER my trip (I'm a teacher, and my DF gets upset with me when I'm on this a lot...so when he's at work I'll play on DIS!) and I'll include my pics as soon as I get them!

Good Luck! It took Randy a while to get back to me at first, and right when I was like OK did he get my email, maybe I'll email again...he responded. Don't worry though, he'll get back.

I am using Randy for my wedding in march of 08 too and I am having a custom wedding and i was told over the phone that it was going to cost $75 and you get all images on a cd.

Thank you so much for posting the link to your pictures! We are getting ready at Port Orleans Riverside the day of our wedding and have asked Randy to take a bunch of photos there before we leave for the wedding pavilion (we're seeing each other before the wedding). I have never actually seen any examples of the types of photos he would take there and LOVE yours!! I'm so excited about it now . THANKS!!!!

Randy did our engagement photos. It was part of the package that we had though. I know it is hard to get in touch with him right now. Call Linda at the studio until you get her. When I was there last week I was not even able to catch up with him and Linda since they were so busy. Keep trying!!!

Omg that's so funny! i am going to be in Disney Tuesday and our photo shoot is Wednesday morning. What resort are you staying at? We will be there from the 8 to the 14th.

We are using Randy for the wedding and engagement pics like Jonette ours are part of our package.
Texascourt-When are you going in OCT? We have our planning session and engagement photos then too! We are going for two weeks at the begining of Oct!

After meeting Randy in Feb and seeing all of his amazing work there is no doubt that he will be just terrific!

I forgot to give you the information I know about Randy's engagement session. We had ours taken with him in March but it was included in the package we are using for our wedding. Are you having a custom or intimate? Look at his prices on his website www.chapmanphotography.com - click on Disney brides, the password is ariel. He has a list of all of his packages with prices.

He spent about an hour taking our photos around the Grand Floridian property and about 4-5 weeks later we received all of the images on a CD and a copy of each print in the mail, about 120 of them (4x6's, I believe). He was great to work with and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (I don't consider us very photogenic).

It seems like there are certain times of the year that he is harder to get a hold of but keep trying, it's worth it .

We'll be at POR from the 9-13th and we're doing the Segway Tour around Epcot on Saturday. I'm super excited for that. Maybe we could get together and talk weddings?

Hey TexasCourt,

It is a very small world! Especially since Houston is a very big place. I've lived all over Houston, been here my whole life. I like it but I'm going to keep going North.
Anyways, Package #1 was 2 or 3 hours for the wedding - 600 photos I think. With the engagement pics the total was less than $700, including the CD. Comparing to Disney, it would be pretty stupid to not use Randy.
