Life Ends.
Life ends. Mediocrity begins. This is my third try, lets see if i can do it this time,
without second guessing myself. LIFE. What is it? How does one live it? How do i live it?As children, these aren't our concerns. Children do what they think is fun, and interesting. It doesn't matter what the other kids are doing, or what others consider is "right". They do what they want, because they enjoy it, and it makes them truly happy. And then, something happens. And this thing, this is truly what ends life. It makes us second guess all that we do, how we think we should live, and the decisions we make. We no longer live to be happy, we live to pursue
happiness. But why pursue something that you had all along, but just lost sight of? Why spend countless years looking for something that you had but replaced with something else. It's ironic that in the constitution that every man has the right to pursue happiness, but why doesn't he have the right to be happy? Because these men did not know what happiness what, because happiness is living. Really living. But we get blinded by this. Something steps in the way and creates a huge barrier to us actually LIVING. And whatever that may be. Materialism. Your "conscious". Once you grow old enough, everything you do is influenced by someone else, or something else. You may not want to admit it, or believe
it. Something is the fuel of the fire behind every passion you have. Some good, some bad. You decide to better yourself and lose that extra ten pounds, but why? Because you're tired of looking and feeling the way you do. You wanna look like what you are made to think that you would look good with. You may decide to become a painter, because your dad always yelled at you for doing those stupid finger paintings that you loved. You may start going to church again after 15 years of being agnostic because your mother died, and she was the best
person you ever knew and she was a Jesus freak. Point being, everything that everyone does is done because of someone else. We get jobs because its the "responsible" and "adult" thing to do. And with this we become more mediocre, and less happy. Now once we start earning money, we start buying things that we think will make us happy. Whether is expensive clothes that you think you look great in, or the newest gadget that you think makes you more high tech and smarter thaneveryone else. And you're told these things will make you happy, when really its just one more nail in lifes' coffin. Eventually it gets to the point where you tell your self you're happy and you're "living the life", when in reality you've completely forgotten what living is. and what real happiness is. And what it has come down to in this day and age is that we have no choice. These
things that happen are inevitable. It seems like hope for life is gone. But hope never dies, its always within you, no matter how much you dwindle its flame. We, as humans, should try something. Think back to when you were young, and the things you did. We all can remeber something that we did that made us the most jubilant children ever. Now go do that. NOW. Go climb that tree and swing
from its branches. Go in that creek in your bare feet and catch minnows over and over again. Don't ever think you've accomplished living, because living is not something you accomplish. Its something inside you that you do, with no consequences. No prize that the end. Its just you, doing what you want. Once you think you've accomplished living, you are dead. Lets all live, instead of be drowned in this society. Just try it, i promise it won't hurt.
