Random women's fashion question about JEANS?

I stopped being a regular jeans wearer almost twenty years ago finding dresses and skirts so much more comfy but bought a pair this month because…it seemed time, lol.

I love that they are anti skinny (despised that style since don’t think they did anything for the average person), made from a sturdy “old fashioned” denim, and have enough useable pockets.
Now that I broke the ban think I’ll buy them in navy blue next.

48 and my current go-tos are Talbot's mid-rise, straight cut and Ann Taylor skinny jeans (not for when it's cold out).

Levi's 711 skinny. I am a tiny skinny gal (late 50's in age) and these have been my go-to's for years.

I think my current favorites are Democracy. I got them at TJMaxx for under $40. I always go for boot cut, darker wash.

Lee Riders, mid-rise, relaxed fit, straight cut -- I've worn these for years.

Same! :thumbsup2 I’m late 60s & have lived in jeans my whole life. I’ve worn Lee’s as long as I can remember. Being short & overweight, I find the straight leg the best option for me. They have several different rises, leg widths, fits & colors so lots of options.

I wear Susan Graver and Denim Co straight leg stretch jeans from QVC - so comfy I can sleep in them.

Im not a brand loyalist, but in addition to some of the brands listed here, I also sometimes like White House Black Market's jeans.

For context I'm 67, height challenged (5'2") and have hips and a bit of a stomach. Most clothes I wear an eight. I only wear jeans about twice a year, just haven't found any that I'm comfortable in but right now my go to pair if I have to wear them, is Old Navy/curvy/short/midrise.

My go-to jeans are FDJ (French Dressing Jeans). I’ve had great success with with one of their particular styles/size. The store I get them from has occasional sales for 25% off, which helps. I buy 1-2 pairs a year.

OP here. I took the plunge and ordered some Levi's 501 original fit straight leg jeans.
They'll arrive within a few days.
I'll let you know how it goes.
I figured I won't know unless I try.

My favorites for the last 10 years or so are Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. I have the typical blue jeans, plus gray, brown, green and black.
Same here. These are all I wear and have worn for the past 20 years or so. I wear GV Amanda jeans daily, but they are higher waisted. I’m not sure if GV has a mid rise style. I buy them at Kohls and on Amazon.

I wear jeans almost every day, so I have quite a stash. I need plus size jeans, so my favorites are from Lane Bryant. I do have a pair of Judy Blues that I also really like.

I've tried GV and actually love how they look on me other than the waist.
They sit practically at my bust! And when I sit they give me more rolls than I have haha.
But yes a solid choice for those that have a long enough torso for them to not make you look like Steve Urkel.

OP update.
Got the Levi's very quickly.
They are going back just as fast haha.
They fit nicely when I stand but they are EXTREMELY high waisted and when I sit its the tightest thing I've ever had on my body.
I'd probably throw up or pass out if I tried to sit for more than a minute lol.
And I was surprised by how thin they seem compared to what I expected. I was expecting you know the thickness of 80's/90's denim.
It wasn't as thin as most jeans these days but not thick either.

So I've decided that my 2 basic options now are the Levi classic bootcut but size down ANOTHER size and hope they stretch out to what I want or stick to the Lee relaxed fit which are super comfy but just a little loser in the leg than I'd like leading to it look less relaxed more babby.

Oh well I tried haha.

I'm older than most of you on this post, in my early 70's, and I still love my jeans:)
I buy Wild Fable brand at Target, high rise and straight fit. I love how these fit me and they are super comfortable, and they don't break the bank. I usually get them on sale around $25.00 or so.

The Democracy jeans at TJMaxx sound like something I would like to try. I love TJMaxx so will check these out soon:)
