Random Tickets in MDE

Anyone ever have random tickets show up in their MDE account? I shouldn't have any tickets currently linked to my account, but for the past couple of days my account is showing that my daughter and I have three 8 day park hopper passes each. It lists them as new and un-used. If Disney wants to give me extra passes, by all means I'll accept. However, they only show up when I log in using my phone.

Just wondering what to do about it, if anything? I'm guessing they'll eventually go away?

That is very interesting. Maybe a glitch. You could call and inquire about it. I had random ones showing but it is because I have a lot of friends linked on the system and their passes show up under me and then when you click it will show who the pass belongs to.
 
I had random tickets show up for a few days and then they went away on their own.

along with it 2 FP+ selections for my DS and DH on just 1 of our days, weird. There are 4 in our group and all other selections showed 4 (I guess the guys weren't meant to go to DHS with us lol) so I called the tech center and they verified the ticket and the missing FP+'s. They were a little stumped as to why all showed in the master system but not the viewing screen. CM assured me that all was as it should be and in a few days the screen I was seeing would match the master system. Didn't even take a few days, as of now all is showing as it should.

That happens a lot. I have been told by multiple sources it is due to phantom accounts. Did you DS and DH have Disney account (club penguin, abc, espn, disneystore.com disney parks, etc) before they merged them all into one account? If so it could be issues of the system putting that information on one of their phantom accounts. Therefore it is there and linked to them but will "disappear" from MDE.

Yes, we had this happen to us. Apparently I had two accounts under the same email from a Disney-site-merge. I freaked out one night when I logged in and all of my reservations were gone, lol. Luckily Disney IT solved it quickly and fixed it promptly :thumbsup2

Yes, DS has an account ...way back from Disney Dreams promo...that must be it, but not DH , odd. So, DS other account now has a FP to TSM, TOT and ST in it somewhere? lol this could be a whole new t.v. show~Alternate FP Universe :rotfl2:

As long as when we get to the parks we aren't told "If you can find it ,(FP+)you can ride it"

But our tickets from the past 3 years are all listed. 2 are showing as active, 1 for DGD and 1 for DH. I called and they can't make them go away. They are just sitting there.

Try having your son log in with the super old account if he remembers it.

If Disney tech says they are all their on their side you should be ok.

Did you set up an account for DH or just sign him up through yours? If he has his own account that you simply linked to yours log in with his and see if the fast passes show there.

each family member for the trip set up their own account and we are all linked to each other, As of now, all the FP are showing, so I guess that means all is good as gold. I was the one who actually made the FP selections for all of us. We are all together for every ride, no one is split off from the group..if that sheds any light. The new system feels a bit unsettling compared to the old FP system where you had a visible paper to show CM and to prove you obtained a FP. However, part of that is because I have never done this before so, gotta believe,~faith , trust and pixie-dust. I wish screen shots were valid proof lol.

Yeah looks like the issue I had. We did screen shots just in case. Even though you made their fp if they disappear again log out of your account and log into theirs and check is anything is showing on their end.

so far each individual account is visually showing all 4 in our group as having each FP selection. We all have identical itineraries~ but yeah I am going to have a screen shot, can't hurt.

I think that's probably what is going on with mine. I think it's even more odd that it shows up on the phone app, but not when I log in via home computer.

I'm having issues with making ADRs too. Yesterday was the start of our 180+ 10, but so far I can only make them a day at a time..as if the +10 was non-existent even though we're onsite. I only need to make 2, so it's not a huge deal..except that the remaining one is a New Year's Eve ADR. :upsidedow

Hopefully, in a couple months the FP+ side will work alright.
 
We had a duplicate set of tickets show up for each of us for a few days and then they disappeared. We only have one account.
 
Back in January, I upgraded our 7-day park hoppers to 8-day. Until we got back home, I had three 8-day tickets and one 7-day still assigned to my daughter. It's gone now, though. I didn't bother doing anything with it since it wasn't hurting anything sitting there.

Huh - looking in "Past Items," the 7-day is still there.

I'm also dealing with this. I've notice 6 days with hopper for all of my family. Our last trip was June 2013 and the new MDE was already in use. I finally called tech/website support yesterday because I assumed it was a glitch and I was told by that CM, who also confirmed with her supervisor, that the tickets are good and I can use them before 2030. She even told me to print it in case the next CM says different. She told me to fight it. I will definitely proceed with caution when I book my 2015 package but I was a little shocked by this whole thing.

Wow. That is interesting. I have a feeling mine won't stick because they only show up on the MDE app and not if I access the website. If they're still showing up when I go to link this year's tickets, I'll give IT a call. I think it's a glitch showing the past three year's tickets as current instead of placing them under 'past tickets.' We'll see. I hope you get to keep yours though. That would be a nice glitch!
 
Hmm..I'm kind of glad we don't have a trip planned right now. I'm in Canada and it would annoy me like crazy to have to "call tech support" all the time. I have never found any call to Disney (even for a simple task like cancelling a reservation) to take any less than a half hour. They have no 1-800 number so I would be paying long distance and fuming the entire time. If I didn't have to pay long distance, I'd be slightly less annoyed lol.
 
We have a trip planned for November of this year. Last night I logged into MDE from my phone for the first time in several weeks. I had to update the app and once I did, there are now 6 tickets showing for our 3 person trip. Oddly, there are 3 for myself and 3 for DS but none for DH. When I logged into MDE from a computer everything was fine. I purchased a package with FD so I am not super concerned about the tickets not being there at the time of our trip but it is strange. I still have about 2 months before I can make FP+ selections so I am going to give it some time. I just think its odd that DH's ticket has completely disappeared.
