In Geography, we were looking at the differences between Europe and the USA.

Europe:
Stronger emphasis on the welfare state
Tendancy to eat with family
Lower age for consumption of alcohol
More liberal attitude towards nudity in the media
Generally not in favour of capital punishment

America:
Individual provision for healthcare & education
Greater prevalence of fast food
Shopping malls rather than high streets and outdoor shopping areas
More overtly religious
More concerned about 'being number one'

You know why the DIS won't let you spell "lockers" with a z on the end? It's because there's a website with the name where you can get points and get items for them. The reason it's blocked isn't because it's a scam (because I use it...) but because you can invite people to get points, and when you've invited at least 20 people, you get double points. because of this, people like to spam forums and advertising the site to get friends. Ironically, the reason I joined is because someone advertised it on the DIS at some point before they blocked the word. I haven't invited anyone on the site. I just get my points from the daily log-in and question of the day. You can get points from watching videos as well, but they just don't work for me so I don't bother with it.

Note i'm not advertising the site, i'm just rambling on about it... I'm not asking anyone to join.

I would join, but I have too much revision to do! Reminds me, the question I have for my Geography resit involves section one (what the tectonic hazards are) and section four (human responses to hazards) which is actually pretty nice. Human responses are quite simple. Adjust, leave, and do nothing.
