INTRODUCTION

Mickey's Toontown is the home of Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. Inspired by the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", this attraction features cartoon taxis that spin by turning the steering wheel. Spin as fast or slow as you like as you tour the back alleys of Toontown - but watch out for weasels and their dreaded DIP.

ATTRACTION

The indoor queue for Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is very long, but it's very detailed and a lot of fun. With the advent of Fastpass, the door into the building is now the merge point for the Fastpass and Standby lines, so in the interest of keeping the line short for those using Fastpass, most of the interior queue is not filled with people. In their hurry to get to the loading area guests often bypass interesting details like Jessica's dressing room, the Ink & Paint Club, the rainbow paint can and paint brush, or the opportunity to eavesdrop on a nefarious weasel plot.

When you reach the boarding area you'll climb into Lenny, your friendly cartoon cab. Each cab seats two people, and the cabs are dispatched in groups of two. Once you reach Roger and Benny the cab, helplessly spinning in the DIP puddle poured by the weasels, you'll find that your steering wheel is active - so let the spinning begin! You can spin clockwise or counterclockwise - though this ride won't spin you as fast as the teacups. There's a lot of fun things to see in the ride, so try not to get so caught up in spinning that you forget to look around you. Just as a weasel is about to douse you with a deadly dose of DIP Roger appears with a "portable hole" that takes you safely to the unloading area.

atleast you have PMs.

and didn't get it taken away for something you didn't do.

Which reminds me, Eimear, can you PM the dude the thing I told you to say in my email?

Calling All Space Rangers! Evil Emperor Zurg and his robots are stealing all of the Crystolic Fusion Cells -- and without them, we'll all be powerless! It's up to you, Space Rangers, to help defeat Zurg and save the galaxy. So climb aboard your XP-40 Star Cruiser and use your laser cannons
to blast away at the targets. To Infinity...and Beyond!

ATTRACTION

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is located in Tomorrowland next to the Astro Orbitor, across from Star Tours. Most of the queue is outside, and after entering the building you'll pass by a series of colorful murals on the walls. If you look closely, you'll see that some of them provide information on the Galactic Alliance and your upcoming mission. Before reaching the boarding area you'll encounter a life-size audio-animatronic Buzz Lightyear who, with the aid of an animated Etch-a-Sketch, will explain your mission to stop Emperor Zurg: "Aim for the Z's!"

Your Star Cruiser can spin 360 degrees by using the joystick in the middle, and is equipped with two hand-held laser cannons. As you move through the different rooms, spin your Star Cruiser as needed to have better access to the various "Z" targets. The targets are of different shapes -- triangles are worth more points than diamonds, which are worth more than squares, which are worth more than circles. Many targets have lights around them, and when they are lit they are worth more points.

After helping to capture Zurg your score will flash, followed by your Space Ranger level - L-1 through L-7. Consult the Space Ranger chart at the unloading area to determine your rank -- are you a Star Cadet or a Galactic Hero?

i'd tap that.

Hehe, I liked on facebook something like

LOL
EIMEAR NEVER REPLIED TO MY PM! xD

The subs are back! Take an underwater voyage of the reefs and ocean off the coast of Australia where Nemo and the rest of the gang just keep swimming in the Big Blue. Join the search as Marlin and Dory again go looking for Nemo, who is off surfing the EAC with his turtle pal Squirt.

ATTRACTION

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is located under the monorail station in Tomorrowland. The queue winds around under the monorail track, and is largely shaded. Notice the vegetation, which resembles underwater coral reefs and creatures such as sea anemones.

Four subs at a time can pull up to the loading dock, where Cast Members will lower a boarding ramp. The sub loads from the front and the back. There is a steep, narrow circular staircase down into the sub - be sure to hold onto the handrails. The seats fold down - follow the person in front of you as far as possible and pull down on the seat and sit down. Each seat has its own porthole. There are twenty seats on each side of the sub, and although each seat will have a little different viewing experience, all will have an equal view of the attraction (and see Nemo the same number of times). There's nothing visible on one side of the sub that isn't visible on the other and no particular location in the sub is better or worse.

As the sub pulls away from the dock the captain's voice provides information on what the sub is doing and what can be viewed outside the portholes. To "hear" the fish, the sonar hydrophones are turned on, and Nemo and friends can not only be heard, but are also visible swimming around outside. After some adventure and a few surprises the sub returns back to the dock where guests disembark by going back up the steep staircase and out. The voyage takes approximately 12 minutes.

Mordecai, Rigby, stop! We can all be turds. :teeth:

INTERESTING FACTS

The original submarine voyage, inspired by the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, opened on June 6, 1959 and closed on September 7, 1998. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage uses the same track and the same 8 submarines, though they have been modified. Modifications include the addition of one additional seat and porthole on each side and conversion of the power source from diesel to electric engines.

The Disneyland submarine fleet is the 8th largest in the world. The names of the submarines are: Explorer, Scout, Voyager, Mariner, Seafarer, Nautilus, Neptune and Argonaut.

New projection technology developed by Walt Disney Imagineering allows Nemo and Friends to appear exactly as they do in the movie, but in a 3-D underwater setting.

To maintain the vibrancy of the bright colors of the coral and rockwork in the California sun, Imagineers developed a new "paint" made with recycled glass. There are more than 40 colors with names like Mango Mud, Phantom, Yamber, and Peritwinkle.

The lagoon holds approxmiately 6.3 million gallons of water.

Some references to the original Submarine Voyage exist in the new dialog - like the "sonar hydrophones", and the captain's comment about seeing sea serpents and mermaids.

INTRODUCTION

Taking place on the Rivers of America, Fantasmic! is a nighttime show where the power of Mickey's imagination comes to life in an amazing spectacle of pyrotechnics, lasers, water screens, animation, fire and water effects and live action sequences featuring many favorite Disney characters and villains.

ATTRACTION

FANTASMIC! As the show begins the Rivers of America are dark and quiet. Mickey Mouse appears on the stage on Tom Sawyer Island and "conducts" the river to life in a blaze of lights, water fountains and fireworks. Three giant water screens rise from the river and a series of animations are projected on them.

The animated scenes shift to jungle images as fog rises on the river. Out on the stage Kaa, the huge snake from the Jungle Book, slithers across the island. On the river, floating barges carry King Louie and his cavorting day-glo-colored monkeys around the river.

Other scenes combining stage action and water screen animation include the pink elephants from Dumbo, Pinocchio and other huge dancing marionettes, and Monstro the whale.

There's the sound of cannon fire as the Sailing Ship Columbia, which has been transformed into Captain Hook's pirate ship, comes around the bend. It's an action-filled scene as Smee and the pirates swing on ropes and climb on the rigging as Captain Hook and Peter Pan pursue and duel each other. But following the ship is the giant crocodile, tick-tocking all the way as he attempts to get another taste of Captain Hook.

Mickey's dream continues as the "Imagination" theme plays and the "dream come true" couples float by -- Snow White and her prince, Ariel and Eric, and Beauty and the Beast.

Suddenly the Evil Queen from Snow White appears on stage, and the water screens reveal her animated magic mirror. The Evil Queen concocts a spell and transforms herself into the Wicked Witch who conjures up a series of villains to take over Mickey's dream. Ursula (with her pet eels, Flotsam and Jetsam), Chernabog and other nightmarish images appear on the water screens until there is a burst of flame on-stage and Maleficent appears. Pointing at Mickey she laughs and in an amazing transformation sequence she becomes a 40' dragon who breathes fire and sets the water ablaze.

But Mickey is equal to the task and in a burst of pyrotechnics he defeats the dragon, who vanishes in a shower of pixie dust.

The water screens again rise and Tinker Bell flies on screen, waving her wand. Amidst a flurry of fireworks the Mark Twain Riverboat comes into view, and a host of Disney characters wave banners as they float by, with Steamboat Willie at the helm.

As the riverboat disappears, Mickey appears on the island stage and conducts a series of lasers and fireworks, even shooting fireworks from his fingers. He says: "Some imagination, huh?", and on a final musical note the lights go out.

You can read about Walt Disney World's version of Fantasmic! HERE.

I don't know if Children in Need made as much money as last year... It was over £18 million atm, but they still need to add up any money not sent in yet. The actual amount tends to appear next month or so.

I'm heading to bed now it's over. Night!

INTERESTING FACTS

Fantasmic! premiered at Disneyland on May 13, 1992. The current version of the show, featuring the new Flotsam and Jetsam characters and the new crocodile, premiered on June 12, 2009.

It's estimated that 9,000 people can watch the show standing along the banks of the Rivers of America. The Florida version of the show opened at Disney-MGM Studios in October 1998 where it is presented in the specially designed Hollywood Hills Amphitheater which seats 6500 people.

Fantasmic! features a cast of 50 performers, most of whom have multiple roles. In addition there are 50 crew members.

Kaa the snake is 100 feet long, the crocodile from Peter Pan is 21 feet long and 12 feet tall, Flotsam and Jetsam are 37 feet long and the Maleficent dragon is 40 feet tall.

The three water screens are 35 feet tall and 50 feet wide.

Additional water effects include 21 fountains and six "whale tails" in the scene when Monstro the whale charges across the Rivers of America.

Flying carpets, magic lamps, wise-cracking genies, princesses, and evil wizards - they're all a part of this amazing musical production.

ATTRACTION

Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular lives up to its name - it is truly a spectacular Broadway-quality show. Many of the classic scenes and songs from the movie are re-created on stage and some of the action even spills out into the aisles, like Prince Ali's jubilant arrival in Agrabah on elephant back.

This 40 minute production takes place in the 2,000 seat Hyperion Theater, located at the end of Hollywood Blvd. The theater itself is beautiful inside and out, with design features reminiscent of many classic theaters.

A child is loose in Monstropolis! Can Mike and Sulley find Boo's door and send her home before the Child Detection Agency catches her? Find out on this wild taxi ride through the streets of Monstropolis.

ATTRACTION

Monsters, Inc Mike and Sulley to the Rescue is located in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area next to Muppet Vision 3D. The facade of the building is painted as a series of doors, with many favorite monsters from the movie lurking inside the open doors.

Upon entering the queue guests enter the domain of the MTA - the Monstropolis Transportation Authority. Along the sides of the queue there are large poster ads for some of Monstropolis' finest businesses, such as Harryhausen's restaurant, Monsters, Inc., and Monster News, winner of 13 Screamy awards. There's also recruitment posters for that elite squad, the Child Detection Agency (CDA). On the overhead video monitors the Monstropolis Chamber of Commerce presents a series of informational messages on the fine city of Monstropolis. Be sure to check out the special guidelines for "All Monster Passengers", posted on the ticket booth, which includes rules like: "Gooey slime drippers and oozers are required to clean seat after use as a courtesy to the next passenger", and: "If you belch fire you are not allowed to sit directly behind the driver."

On reaching the boarding area, take a seat in one of the yellow and black cabs. Each taxi has three rows, seating two adults or an adult and two small children.

Soon after the taxi leaves the boarding area, a small video monitor on the left side comes to life with a piece of breaking news: "A human child is loose in Monstropolis!".

The taxi winds and turns as it follows the action. There's chaos on the streets of Monstropolis following a child sighting, and Mike's romantic dinner at Harryhausen's is completely disrupted. The Child Detection Agency is out in force and Mike, Sulley, and Boo must avoid them as they make their way to the headquarters of Monsters, Inc. There they must elude Randall and fellow Monsters, Inc. employees as they search for Boo's bedroom door so they can return her to her room. In the "door" room thousands of doors appear to be rotating up, down, and all around, and the nefarious Randall makes a final effort to hide Boo's door forever. Boo herself takes a hand in foiling Randall, and at her door Sulley must say a final goodbye to her.

After decontamination by the Child Detection Agency the taxi returns to the loading area, where an audioanimatronic Roz has a few parting comments - sometimes aimed at specific occupants of the cab.
