Hmmm...now I see how it is here (in my company). I'm overhearing them talk about applying for different positions in other departments...one woman has kept track of the different ones for which she's applied. She's tried 27 times in 7 years and has been turned down for everything. Also has not been given a promotion. Heck, no one gets a promotion here - if they have an open position, they hire from outside.

Yep...time to really get cracking on finding something else. I'll never get ahead here.

Ok, can I brag a little? I just came back from parent/teacher conferences, and they went great! My girls' teachers love them. They said how sweet they are, follow directions, are hard workers, etc. I am really proud of Emily. She is in 2nd grade reading at at 3rd-4th grade level. Go Emily!

And to anyone who has had to cross my path today, I send my apologizes for my cranky and just overall weird mood. Hopefully I'll be all better tomorrow.
