Hi

We are sailing on the nov 30-dec 7 merrytime on the fantasy. We paid the balance off months ago. The PIF date is August 2nd. This morning around 4 am I recieved another confirmation email indicating we are due a refund of $36.80

Any insights? I guessed port fee price decrease?
Follow-up: think they'd just apply that to the stateroom account? (Dcl is closed or I would have called and asked directly)

I agree that port fee reduction is the most likely reason for a small change.

If you used a travel agent, that’s who you’d need to ask about whether the refund can be applied to your on-board account; if not, then you need to call Disney Cruise. Of course, even if the refund needs to go to you, you can make a payment in that amount toward your account.

This happens to us about every 2 or 3 cruises. This is why I do not pay off the cruise to far in advance of PIF date.

i have not gotten refund my pif date was july 12th

I had a random $20 refunded me, I never looked into it but I think it was port fees. It was put back onto the card I paid with, not onto my ship account.

When you pay it off has no bearing on whether the port fees get reduced.

I'm aware that when I make payment has no bearing. I do not pay it off until it gets closer to PIF date because the payment amount is not correct until this occasional adjustment is sometimes done as described by the OP. This price adjustment has happened to us often enough that I now wait until it's gets closer to PIF date until I make final payment in order to pay the correct amount and not wonder about a refund like this OP is.

Yep, Not unusual. We got several dollars from the last cruise we took in January.

Interesting. l thought most port fees adjustments were closer to the cruise date, after the PIF date.

All of ours have been before PIF with the exception of the Hurricane Matthew cruise in 2016 where our 7 night Fantasy turned into and 8 night. Even though we ported in Cozumel twice, we still got a small refund after the cruise due to not porting at Castaway Cay. With that one exception, all of ours have been pre-PIF.

Yes, port fees were refunded to us as well.
We are on the same sailing as the OP. Can't wait!
Have a great cruise!!

I'm wondering if I got refund and just didn't notice since I was so close to PIF date and scrambling to pay off another part of parties cruise portion
