not sure about a gift card.......maybe what you are thinking is this:

If you put the down payment on a Disney Visa you receive $500 of Disney Reward Dollars. The amount of points you buy has to be at least 160. (they have a 'special' going on right now where you can buy in a 'only' 100 points. The usual buy in amount is 160 points.

I read that some people got $15 gift cards just for listening to the presentation :confused3 I don't know if it's true but it is a nice added bonus ::yes::

oh here's where you want to start! Don't give me something easy......go right for the kill!

Points: this is the beauty of DVC vs other timeshares. (yes, there are other places people go......:scared1: & a lot of other timeshares are cheaper) however this is one of the best things: your points can be used anytime you want, for however long or short you want, any time of year, any day of the week, summer, winter, Christmas, anytime......there are no blackouts what-so-ever.
Now- that being said, obviously the more costly times to go (i.e. Christmas--)(think anytime the room rates are high)- the DVC points needed are going to be high as well. Weekend points are going to be higher than weekday points (Friday, Saturday).

Banking, borrowing & use years may have to be a lesson for tomorrow.

Thank you for the wonderful information  I'm taking notes :thumbsup2

ok-- tomorrow-- Banking, borrowing, Use Year, 11 month & 7 month windows........also there is a DVC thread.........I'll PM you........

I'm looking forward to my next lesson :goodvibes I think I am going to be spending a lot of time on the DVC thread ::yes::

Hi everyone!! Just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing!:goodvibes The storms came through yesterday and really hit hard, some places a bit south east of here had some tornado's touch down. :scared1: Then when those storms moved out, it left winds, and rain, which took out about half of out city's power and took our internet out for the day!! :headache:(The nerve!!)lol The winds are still really strong (85 km/hour), so I am not sure if the internet will stay up. :confused3 But they are saying that overnight tonight it will all move on and leave a milder but pleasant day!! :thumbsup2 And that looks like it for awhile!! :cool1: Our poor little Chihuahua couldn't go out, because I am scared he would blow away...LOL so he goes just out the door on his leash that I hold, we rigged that up tonight, when he couldn't keep his legs crossed anymore!:lmao:

With that I think I am going to finish up a few things and head off to bed! Have a great night everyone, and well morning as well!:cutie:

Yes I am have a smiley fix right now!:upsidedow

Sorry about the storms Tiff but I am glad to hear that you are ok

I've been catching up.
I knew PAD would be a DVC expert. Good to hear that it is not high pressure...we frequently take advantage of time share offerings (like a ridiculously low price to stay for several days and enjoy the facilities somewhere) but DH gets cranky if it gets high pressure.......:rolleyes1

Well I am off to bed, so I thought I would leave out an assortment of goodies for the tag fairy is she(he) is so inclned to stop by...:rolleyes1

those look great Tiff :goodvibes

I love the disney visa ( I know, you can get more money on other cards, but not for DISNEY!!)

Hara, the meet and greet at Epcot is well worth it!
PAD, did you realize it was a seperate one form the huge character line cue? We had to ask for directions, we saw that huge line too and were not waiting in that! It is inside (in the middle of innoventions building). When we were there, no line at all, it was near where you get to try the segways.......they take you in a special room that can't be seen by the general public........sneaky almost!
And you get lots of one on one time, you can takeyour own pics without feeling like you are being rushed, they will do a whole photopass set for you... I really thought it was a great deal, then you go pick one for them to print a 5 X 7 right away.

Thanks for the info about the character meet and greet :goodvibes I have added it to one of our Epcot Days :thumbsup2 Does it start when the park opens or later in the day?

Sorry about the storms, Tiff.
We had bad storms through the night, but muggy and clear now.
Game at 8 was pushed back due to the soggy field, but we are playing at noon and two, now. Good to sleep in anyway!

It is definitely not all day (though the regular character spots will be all day)
I am thinking it is just from 1-8 or something like that. I will research it on my Disney visa literature in a minute for you!. It is worth it, (free 5 x 7, how can that be a bad deal???):confused3 :rotfl2:

not til noon now, lots of rain through the night, so the fields required a lot of work this morning. A game is going on now, and we play at noon and two.

We had lots of rain too...I was supposed to go to the flea market today but it is still raining :sad2:

Thanks PAD. I knew you would know. And the medical explanation is a plus. I am doing so much scientific reading this summer (on brain function, reading acquisition, etc that was right up my alley!).
I love WebMD, too........he's making me a regular Cliff Claven (was that his last name? On Cheers?)

I am outside lifeguarding again. DD9 had a sleepover last night (DD12 had one Friday night). They want to swim before we have to go to the fields.

It is bright, and I can barely see the screen to catch up!:rotfl:
