Hello everyone :lovestruc Me and my family are Vacation Club members and repeat visitors to Disney as well as Disney cruises...We love Disney!

This is a random question but has anyone planned a trip around a date that they knew may be a hard time or anniversary of something to help take their mind off of something??? This may be too much to share, but me and my former best friend had a falling out a year or so ago and she ended our friendship. Recently, I discovered she will be getting married on Oct 1st and I tried to reach out and reconcile our friendship so that I wouldn't miss out on her special day because it was so important to me to share it with her and get past our differences...At any rate, she sent me an email saying she will absolutely NOT be sending me an invitation to her wedding...I'm a little devasted at the moment :sad1: So I know this day will be hard for me because we were so close and I will be missing it because she can't get over her pettiness. My family suggested I ask for vacation time and we go to Disney and try to take my mind of of this day..haha...

Sorry for my randomness, just wondering if anyone has done this to help them cope with hard stuff??...can Disney be the happiest place on Earth even when things don't turn out like we hope? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated...thanks so much and take care :flower3:

OH yeah, all the time. Planning my next Disney trip can be a form of escape as well as entertainment. It's nice to daydream and take a break from life's stresses and go to your happy place mentally, so what if my happy place is Disneyworld?!!!
Happy planning ;)

Yes! I would plan a trip. You should be proud of yourself for extending an opportunity to work through past differences. Shame on your friend. If she wants to stay bitter let her live with it. You should sleep better at night knowing you at least tried. Treasure the friendships & relationships you have that are truly geniune. Take a trip to the happiest place on Earth with your loved ones. :goodvibes
