Random question about car hire !!

I understand that if ou rent with alamo they swipe a cc in case of toll violiations etc. I do not have a cc but dh does will he need to be named as a driver if we use his card or can I be still be the only driver and usehis cc as security ???

I think the credit card has to be in the name of the driver so he would need to be named as a driver

Not very good at only spending within my means - I mean if you see something you like you just have to buy it right ??

We've been out there 6 times and every time I have driven and I dont have and never have had a CC. Never been a problem when collecting or returning, they asked but I just tell them I dont have one. The DW does but she is with the bags outside and I dont tell them that she does anyway.
The most I've been asked for is the tank of gas charge which I pay in cash.

As its your husbands account you should be able to get a card as the account is his sole responsibilty.I agree with bombhead444 comments also.
We always pay everthing in advance to avoid any charges upon arrival.

in all the times i've rented cars (zillions) they've never cared whose card it was....all they cared was that there was a card...
