I was happy I was able to come back and DIS The neighbors don't understand my family's obsession with Disney so they kept asking why I felt the need to go back so soon since I just went in November. They suggested that maybe we should go to Europe or something and I responded by telling them that I can visit many different countries while I am in Epcot They quickly changed the subject after I gave this response

We have been going to Disney for the last 10 summers. Many people have asked us why we don't try somewhere else. To me it's my home away from home. It's safe, pleasant, beautiful to look at and definitely magical. I am not interested in traveling outside of the US. This is the place we dream about going to all year long. I am so sorry DD and DH won't be making the trip this year.

The cast members have watched my kids grow up. They feel like family to us.

Even though we aren't staying at the GF any more, we still visit. Any cast members who have been there for years always remember my kids by name. It's just a warm and fuzzy feeling we get every time we go back.

I know what you mean Hara. People always say to us "you're going there AGAIN" like it is a bad thing. It is a great place to go, definitely magical. I am thrilled that my kids still WANT to be with us and go to Disney. They grow up too fast as it is. We don't really feel comfortable taking our kids out of the country, either.

It makes it even more special when the whole family can go! This past November just my mom and I went because my dad had just started a new job and couldn't get the time off. So we decided that my dad and I would go in August so he could experience Disney with just me...but my mom decided that she wanted to come along and we are now able to have a family vacation

Me too. I don't know anyone around my neighborhood that has any interest in going there more than once. We here at disboards are very family oriented and I guess that's why we enjoy going back time and time again to a place like this that caters to families. Most people I know around my area would rather vacation without their kids. They ship them off to sleepaway camp. I always kept my kids at home with me in the summers. We went to Disney for a week or two and then I kept them busy with my own activities and even some schooling.

No, we never even looked into it. We figured it probably wouldn't work for us since we only go once a year.

Hey, I have pretty happy news for me.........

DH FOUND his lost wedding ring.
It was stuck in the catcher's mitt he used to warm up the team before the away game......he even looked there. An assistant coach put the glove on to warm up a pitcher, and viola, there it was!

It makes it even more special when the whole family can go! This past November just my mom and I went because my dad had just started a new job and couldn't get the time off. So we decided that my dad and I would go in August so he could experience Disney with just me...but my mom decided that she wanted to come along and we are now able to have a family vacation

That is a wonderful trip to do with your mom. My mom has such a hard time walking that it just wouldn't work out for us.
