Random Part Two See the Light??

Me too. I don't know anyone around my neighborhood that has any interest in going there more than once. We here at disboards are very family oriented and I guess that's why we enjoy going back time and time again to a place like this that caters to families. Most people I know around my area would rather vacation without their kids. They ship them off to sleepaway camp. I always kept my kids at home with me in the summers. We went to Disney for a week or two and then I kept them busy with my own activities and even some schooling.

My neighbors believe that if you go once than you have seen it all and that is enough...but this trip we are going to new restaurants, doing a tour and Epcot, and plan on going on rides we have never done. Each time we go it is a different experience

I know what you mean Hara. People always say to us "you're going there AGAIN" like it is a bad thing. It is a great place to go, definitely magical. I am thrilled that my kids still WANT to be with us and go to Disney. They grow up too fast as it is. We don't really feel comfortable taking our kids out of the country, either.

I feel the same way that you do about the family being together. Yes, they definitely grow up too fast!!

No, we never even looked into it. We figured it probably wouldn't work for us since we only go once a year.

we only go once a yr too........we bought though.....annual dues do go up each yr or so but still less overall than the rm increases..............couple of big reasons we bought though are #1 it 'forces' us to take a vaca.......something we never 'found time to do' & as a family of 5 options are very limited staying on site.......enter: AKV!

That is a wonderful trip to do with your mom. My mom has such a hard time walking that it just wouldn't work out for us.

It was a great time...and my dad was looking forward to a father daughter trip and was pretty upset when mom decided to join in. I however was very happy because I can now get another trip in for just the two of us

On each trip we have either found something new that had never been there before or we found something that we missed. Actually, usually more than one thing. We also found that each year, we had more time to relax since we didn't have the need to see each and every thing again. We were able to pick and choose.

In November we were always on the move because it had been 5 years since we were at Disney and I think it was a little much. This year I have planned breaks for us each day and we aren't worried if we miss things since we were just there in when the crowds were low and we were able to do things multiple times without waiting

It just aggrivates me that people feel the need to tell me where I should vacation When they start paying for my vacation then they can tell me where to go

This will be the first year that I won't have a computer with me. My DH usually brings his laptop since he spends at least half of the trip working!!

So am I. It's something we all think about throughout the year. Especially when we see commercials on tv or when Chrismastime is here and ABC airs the parade. I know it is such a busy time but I would love to be there just once in December!

We get there Saturday the 16th at around 9am and leave Thursday the 21st at noon. I won't have a computer either but I plan on taking my passporter with me to the parks to take notes! I also made index cards and put them on a ring to take to the parks with our reservation numbers, which parks we are going to, and a general plan for each day I
