DW and I returned home Sunday (9/19). The trip was great in spite of the dire weather predictions. Rather than give you all the gory details I'll hit the high spots.
* We flew down on 9/11. The plane was half empty so we could spread out and the plane arrived EARLY.
* We rented a car from Alamo even though we had heard bad things. Picked it up at the Dolphin. Great rates and not one problem.
*The parks were deserted. Walked off ToT and right back on.
*We boarde a bus at AKL after dinner at Boma to go to Downtown in order to get a bus to WL. We found out that if you get a nice bus driver like we did they will drop you off at your hotel as long as no one else is one the bus.
*We had our own bus twice, monorail car once and our own row at Mickey's Philharmagic.
* The only damage we saw were trees down all over the property and what looked like roof damage at YC. They waited until Ivan was passed to work on the landscaping that was damaged at WL.
I know we were lucky but it turned out to be one of our best trips to WDW ever.
