I have a totally random question about flower petals, and I'm not even sure anyone will know a definite answer but I figured I would throw it out there anyways! I am planning on ordering an aisle runner for the WP, and would like to have red rose petals placed on either side. My planner told me that I can order fake petals, but I have no clue how many I need. I would like the borders of petals to be very, very thick so that you cannot see that carpet underneath them. Ideally something like this, maybe even a little thicker:

Any idea how many hundred/thousand petals I would need to achieve a similar look?

There actually is a definite answer. :thumbsup2 This photo from FlyBoyNaturals.com shows you how many cups of petals you need per square foot for different amounts of coverage:

(If you want even thicker coverage, you may need more like 4 or 5 cups per square foot.)

Just multiply the number of cups by the length of the aisle at the Wedding Pavilion (59 feet from the door to the bottom step of the altar or 69 feet up to the top of the altar), then multiply that number by 2 so you cover both sides, and then mail your wallet to the company where you're buying the petals. :rotfl:
