The recent show segment about manners has had me thinking about the times when we have experienced acts of kindness by strangers and cast members in WDW and about the little things we enjoy doing for others there. We have received and given unused fastpasses (no longer an option, I know), let someone else go first, given up a seat on the bus or amused a cranky child on the bus, congratulated guests wearing buttons, given our pool noodles away at the end of our trip, etc. One of the first things we loved about WDW was that everyone seemed so happy and friendly. I think we've seen a change in that in recent years. It's another example of how the prevailing culture of the "outside" world has crept into our Disney experience (cue my rant about Starbucks replacing Main Street Bakery).
So, thinking about the impact Dis'ers can make (evidenced by the funds that have been raised for GKTW), I had the idea for a "Random Acts of Disney Kindness" campaign. What if everyone here on the boards made a conscious effort to do small kindnesses for strangers in the world and spread the word here on the boards? I wonder if we could "be the change we wish to see in the world" and make a dent in the culture of "I paid my money, so I'm entitled to everything I can get and I can behave however I want."
What are your ideas for little acts of kindness we could do?
