PIN ZOOM FEATURE :thumbsup2

Talk about helpful! Even if you don't trade much or can't get your hands on a paticular pin, you can still blow it up if someone is wearing it! It just needs a double click!

NEW ORLEANS SQUARE

I'm personally surprised by the popularity this new land has gained. But then again, I've never been to DLR so I'm no doubt in the dark on this one. But I say "surprised" because last time I checked, it was "Vitrual Magic Kingdom" and last time I checked, the real version has a place called "Liberty Square". Odd indeed. It's like VMK is being demagic kingdominized.. if that makes sense. :)

MONORAIL MIX GAME

This was a really neat idea! Now only if it could of been released without any bugs, it would no doubt be the talk of the kingdom, but of course, we couldn't even hear our jams on the first day and crashing there seems to be part of the game now lol. I love techno and love crashing in VMK, this is awesome! Like the street party game, I'm sure we will be losing connection in here for years to come!

VMK PASS :sad2:

I'm one of many players who are constantly on the move and cannot find much use in this new feature. I tried it once since it's arrival, made it into the room after a 200 person wait, and lost connection like I ALWAYS do after clicking a staff kiosk. VMK Pass is probably a good thing as it forces people like myself to not even bother, and makes way for people who don't mind a 500+ line or have considerable time to kill by watching a que box count down.

GUEST ROOM TICKETS

Neat idea! This is a great way to keep build projects private and to simply keep the uninvited away. I personally am glad I wont have to build in a "not in any room" room anymore. Using this feature to promote new rooms or games will probably be just a waste of cash unless the user is an established player or what they create becomes well known. I can see tickets to a "Dry Bones" show go like hot cakes, even gain value to people who want to attend, I know I'd trade for one if I missed the boat!

Now staff using this feature on the other hand, I cringe to the thought. I hope when/if staff use the ticketing program, it will be for CL meetings that are kept on the down low. Using the tickets for events and special oppritunities to obtain stuff is beyond wrong, and defeats the whole purpose of why the entire community even plays, and that's to be a part of VMK! Not to be exclusively shut out! I hope staff truly thinks about that.

FIREWORKS GAME: REMIXED :rolleyes1

This is no doubt a welcomed change to VMK as the previous version became so repitious it could literally put you to sleep and yet, was a PRIMARY source of credits that made mule'n a thing of the past. Now, a much more challenging version of the game has been deemed worthy of only 40% of the rewards that the previous version offered. Where the logic is in this is beyond me, all I know is once I win a gold firework pin, I'm pretty much done with the game. The same game that I was once was able to play daily, for over a year straight.

The ironic part of this change in gaming value is, avid firework players who once were able to earn credits in solitary peace, are now forced to go play pirates to see anywhere near the same credit/time ratio that they've grown used to. The same pirate game that right now, is considered the bowels of VMK where all respect for one another is lossed. Fireworks doesn't pay, pirates often ends in annoyance, and yet here we are, being told "get ammo get gold run run hurry hurry get them omg u lame" by someone who already sunk to the bottom.

CLUB 33 GUEST ROOM :guilty:

Can you say OMG?! One of the most incredible, well designed, and over the top classy additions to be added to VMK, and wouldn't you know it, word is VMK has decided we are not worthy to have it! Or maybe they will give away a card for the room code at the actual Club 33?! LOL, I think I'd hate the person who would have the room by those means lol. The staff message would have to go something like:

"Congratulations!
You have entered a code for:
Club 33 Guest room
People will now know you have alot of money
and you'll be the envy of the kingdom!"

I believe what I've been told about how the room is not for us because I mean come on, every guest room in VMK has been made available for us at one point in time or another, and like everything else, that just cannot last forever. Someone will see to that!

FINAL WORDS :confused3

I'd say the peak of my VMK addiction was around Everest month and throughout the Everest hype. Even looking back on slide times I think, "Those were some good times in the game". Even if it's a toe nail trimming, I find myself more and more searching for real life reasons to simply not be irritated by the game. Irritation caused by the games blatant disreguard for it's fan base. I just thank God for the ability to make and maintain friends within the game that share the same Disney passions as myself as they are hard to find in the real world!

Great Speech. I totally agree with the annoying person yelling at their team after they have been sunk :rotfl:

New Orleans Square is at Disneyland, so it is still a part of the Magic Kingdom. It is the home of Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean.

i loved the speech! i also loved the part about pirates and the "get gold!!" part.

my friends and i have decided to stop using gold because that means you aren't trying to use real skill (not to be mean to anyone on this thread who uses gold :) )

Thanks lol, it was fun typing it up. :thumbsup2

New Orleans Square is at Disneyland, so it is still a part of the Magic Kingdom.

I'll remember that next time I'm on the phone trying to connect to a land in the park.

"Magic Kingdom" resides in Florida. It's proper to say "New Orleans Square is at Disneyland, so it is still a part of the Disney Company." And thank you for that.

Good point lol.. Me, I try to hang back and if my team does not win it, I'll try my best to be the team's anchor man, pun intended! lol

All the better to blast you with as I float on to a score of 400 credits.

As for my own reviews, they would look something like this:

PIN ZOOM FEATURE - two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

NEW ORLEANS SQUARE - two thumbs up. They need to move POTC there, though. In the original Magic Kingdom of Disneyland, that's where it's put.

MONORAIL MIX GAME two very enthusiastic thumbs up! The only bummers: (i) you can crash just liek the other music mix room; and (ii) you don't get credits for playing if you just played your other mix. But... the mixes are much cooler.

VMK PASS - two very enthusiastic thumbs up! I like this feature more than any new feature they have ever released, with the ability to see multi-star magic in a trade window coming in a very close second. Being able to do other stuff while you wait is awesome. Sure, the lines can get long, but this is so much better than the original long lines with DC, and its much more fun than having to click, click, click to try to get into the end of a short line. I play the game to have fun and relax, and clicking to get into a room is annoyingly work-like.

GUEST ROOM TICKETS - two very enthusiastic thumbs up! Not for the credit-earning potential, but to close off a room to others if I want to build a room or enter codes without being bothered.

FIREWORKS GAME: REMIXED - two very enthusiastic thumbs up! I do not get nearly the points I got before, but the game is more interesting, still a challenge, and the reward levels make for a fairer game for all. In other words, excellence at one game pays no better than excellence at another.

CLUB 33 GUEST ROOM - I don't know. It's a pretty room, but I was quite bored doing the preview hangout thing. Maybe I'll like it; maybe I won't care.

This is where we disagree. You think VMK is just about Florida, and that sickens me.

VMK was created to be the Virtual Disney Park, so that everyone around the world could visit it and get a sense of the Disney Magic without living in Anaheim or Orlando.

To think that the Magic Kingdom in Virtual Magic Kingdom refers only to Florida you are highly misguided.

wikipedia said:
* "The Magic Kingdom" is also a nickname for the Disneyland theme park itself. This usage predates the Florida theme park, but Disneyland never officially bore this name. While Disneyland's official nickname is "The Happiest Place On Earth," the official nickname of the Magic Kingdom is "The Most Magical Place On Earth." This led to the common use in Disneyana literature of the term Magic Kingdom-style, to describe the classic Disney park - with the castle, Main Street, etc.

* Up until the early 1990s, the Magic Kingdom was officially known as the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom, and was never printed without the Walt Disney World prefix. This was to differentiate between the park and Disneyland in California, which was and is also commonly referred to as the Magic Kingdom. Between the opening of the Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney acknowledged the growing need for consistent theme park names - EPCOT Center was renamed in 1994 to Epcot, and gradually the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom dropped the prefix and became the Magic Kingdom Park.

So, yes, a neutral name for a Virtual Disney Park would be VMK: thus it could refer to both DLR's Magic Kingdom and WDW's Magic Kingdom.

I am terribly sorry you've never been to Disneyland (Walt's Park), but to assume that WDW is automatically more worthy of praise is quite daft. Go to Disneyland, Ranch, then make up your mind on whether or not VMK is being de-magic-kingdom-ized.

As for those that have been to both DLR and WDW, you will know that New Orleans Square has a special place in West Coast's heart. Us DLR-ers love New Orleans Square and it is my absolute favorite land in the park. VMK's version of it is just spectacular and it appears to be the best done Virtual Land yet!

(VMK, Virtual Pieces of Eight... Please? Like, now?)

WOW!!! :scared1:

Well it looks like I owe you an apology. I didn't mean for my little review to make you or anyone sick, or physically ill in any way shape or form.

And yes, you're absolutely right, I want more WDW in VMK! :cool1:  :dance3: :cheer2:

WDW has become the melting pot of all the established parks, and not to mention the biggest showcase area out of all them, square footage wise of course.
Just as VMK has always been, with examples such as the HKDL styled monorail stations and a Pleasure Island atmosphere all available at just a mere click, it represents what WDW has done which cannot be done anywhere else in the world, and that's give a little of each park in one experience.

And since they're calling it "VMagicKingdom".. why not throw a Liberty Square in there somewhere eh?! Nah!

Well Tampa, if you have as much right to post rude reviews for something that staff really worked hard for, Pirate-Emery has as much right to post his.

Not to mention adding your own predicitons to try making a point.
And by the way, your signature is 9 times over the limit.

Way OT here but...that picture in your sig is hilarious Tampa!!!!! :lmao:

I just read my review again, I found myself more comical and honest than rude. And I don't recall stating he had no right to respond to this thread, I merely replied to a reply. Looks like I owe another apology.

Not to mention adding your own predicitons to try making a point.

I should be ashamed of myself!

And by the way, your signature is 9 times over the limit.

And you know what? It's still smaller than yours LOL! :rotfl2:
Take all the space you need good buddy, within limits of course.
The back seat moderating is widely appreciated as well..

In case you hadn't noticed..... Other features of VMK that are not from WDW:

Storybookland (DLR & DLP)
Matterhorn (DLR)
"Pirate" treehouse is more like DLP than anywhere else
Dragon under the castle (DLP)
Mark Twain (DLR)

If I think more I'll let you know. It has always been my understanding that VMK was a melding of all of the "Magic Kingdom" parks. Meaning all of the ones that are based on the original blueprint that is Disneyland.

Thanks Mal! Always good to know the right people are in charge over here. :thumbsup2

But what if his opinions are wrong?

Don't worry, VMK will make an Epcot, thus swaying whatever your point is in my direction! :thumbsup2
